I loved this video but I find Ivar so interesting on how he is idolized by fans. The guy was a villain and dictator, literally had a cult following. He was a Viking Mussolini practically when first ruling Kattegat. I do see how his arc changes, from underestimated crippled, to clever conqueror, to a wise warrior in the end. I understand HOW it’s inspirational and that the acting is marvelous but I’m still thrown for a loop because few videos show the parts of his barbarism like this one does with the people being burnt.
Long live the story of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons.
I miss this show so much. I cried when ivar died. His death really symbolized the death of the pagan ways of northern Europe.
