Ivana is an absolute, fucking GENIUS! And this technique is REVOLUTIONARY!!!!! Love her and her book SOOOOO MUCH!! Really hope I get to learn directly from her one day. Actually, fuck that. I AM going to learn from her one day!

But isn’t empathy important to reach that empowerment? It sounds like she was describing sympathy when she shot it down. Empathy is not saying you’re sorry, it’s putting yourself emotionally in that persons shoes. So isn’t empowerment the result of that one you push through it?

Yes, you are right. I'm honestly shocked by this. She's almost rambling incoherently. Over-intellectualizing and using hundreds of words when she could have only used one: inspiration. Like the interviewer was able to translate it into. And yes she clearly confused empathy with sympathy. Not a good sign for an acting teaching.
