At the end of the mv we return to the past of IU's mother and grandmother, since the relationships of mothers and daughters are a historically repeated loop. indicated at their resemblance, not only physically but also mental state. how the mother saw the daughter and could tell she was feeling exactly like she were feeling towards her mother, the intense emotion that full of various emotions. its a loop Her name is #Shh... In SK's context, a mum immediately 'loses' her name once her child is born. She wld b known as xxx's omma. Also, it's v common for a young child to think their mum's name is Mummy. Will a mother's name be forgotten? shh = she hid her(?) its not abt f (friendship) is not about l (love) we got smtg else = mother daughter bond that way beyond that (but its also all abt friendship & love actually) iu (s) = she (as the subject of the story aka mom) tangwei (h) = her (as the object aka daughter) Tang wei :playing as the daughter shows how we can carry painful words/experiences caused by our moms until we're older. Later on in life,esp when we became mothers ourselves, realizing that they only did or said those just out of love . #IU"Shh..." is about relationships between women, between mothers and daughters. Women who remain enigmas. A mother was also once a daughter. A cycle that continues around the world. Her name is "Shh.." since we can replace it with any woman's name. "Shh..." is poetry ❤️

First of all, I'm loving your reactions. You are allowing yourself to feel what she's going for in every single song, and that's fantastic - because IU wants to take you places. One thing I would recommend is adding some of her interviews - be it IU_TV or otherwise - to your list of things to watch. The reason is that it will help round out your appreciation for her, as well as help you connect with her in a more casual way. If you keep getting hit hard by artist IU, you might become exhausted from the emotional whiplash she'll take you through, so connecting to her as a person is a good way to buffer from that happening. Because, as deep as she is, she's also surprisingly funny, charming, and sweet.

The track is fantastic but the MV is so good...! They both show their amazing acting skills just from all the emotions we can read on their face and in their eyes. I wish they could co-star in a movie. Also it's cool that IU introduces Tang Wei to international kpopies who may not know her. "Decision to leave" is a must watch. It gathered awards all around the world.

I think Tang Wei is thinking about her mother ( IU) in this MV. I don’t know what happen to her mom but I think she is missing ang imagining her mom in front of her while sitting in her car perhaps in front of their old house?

The last song "I stan U" has no MV coming, I'm pretty sure. Atleast, there's been no teasers or anything about it. Mas direi que a história do MV é mais do que apenas mãe e filha, já que a história tem dois lados e essa parte é apenas do ponto de vista de Tang Wei. O ponto de vista de IU no segundo verso é sobre uma ‘amizade’. E nesse caso, um ângulo GL é muito plausível. No PASSADO, Ela colocou ali aqueles que amava (para que pudessem ficar com ela para sempre) - sua mãe e sua amiga. No PRESENTE, ela avista IU, que se parece muito com a mãe, quando era mais nova. Antes de ver IU, ela avistou alguém que se parecia com sua amiga, a quem ela (presumiu ter nocauteado) colocou no porta-malas. Ela teria colocado IU no porta-malas também, exceto que IU corajosamente se aproximou dela primeiro. Pode-se presumir que a mulher na bota também será colocada lá. Mas IU será sua figura materna no presente e provavelmente viverão juntas, com IU mantendo seu segredo...Shh. Um tema sombrio, de fato. Adorei o enredo. Quer um tema mais sombrio: considere que ela está dirigindo por aí procurando pessoas que se pareçam com sua mãe e sua amiga. Se esta não é sua primeira viagem, quantas pessoas ela “coletou” lá? I'm late because I missed this one 🤔😅 But now I can recommend you to watch (in your spare time) the behind the scene of this MV and especially the interview IU made about it (they are both in her KZread channel)

In the PAST, She placed those she loved in there (so they can be with her forever) - her mother and her friend. In the PRESENT, she spots IU, who looks very much like her mother, when she was younger. Before seeing IU, she had early spotted someone who looked like her friend, whom she (assumed that she knocked out) placed in the boot. She would have place IU in the boot too except IU boldly approached her first. It can be assumed the woman in the boot will be placed down there too. But IU will be her mother figure in the present and most probably live together, with IU keeping her secret...Shh A dark theme indeed. Love the story line. Want a darker theme: Consider she has been driving around looking out for people that resembles her mother and her friend. If this isn't her first drive, then how many people has she "collected" in there? IU delivers another MV movie!❤ IU has really gone all out for her fans: 4 MVs from 5 songs - 1 Fantasy, 1 Fun, 1 Dark and 1 Apocalyptic. Uniquely IU indeed. Respect much!

Mentioning of mother in the MV gives IU 'plausible deniability' over the meaning of IU's pretty obvious 'girl love' song. IU has had 'diplomatic' explanations of several of her past GL songs. 'Oh, I wrote if from the perspective of the man!', etc.
