You might want to check "Road" (길) which IU did a cover of together with Henry Lau, Yang Da-il and Jo Hyun-ah for g.o.d's 20th anniversary album. Other famous songs include "To Mother" (어머님께) and "One Candle" (촛불 하나) g.o.d are known for top notch live performances (their concerts almost always have a live band). Because they were pitched as a "everyman" type of group, they had a very wide and broad popular appeal (hence IU becoming a fan at age 9 lol) and thus the only 1st gen group to be dubbed "the nation's idol group". They are the first K-pop group to put on 100 solo concerts. From 2006 to 2013 they were on hiatus and Yoon Kyesang had left the group in 2004. Their reunion in 2014 basically broke the internet in Korea because that was the first time any idol group had reunited with every single member even with all 5 members under different agencies. The g.o.d members are very close, practically non-blood brothers, because of the hardships they went through before and after debut. The bickering is pretty normal and IU was definitely channeling the inner fangirl by asking for juicy sordid details.😂And yes, Joon wasn't lying about his age...the man was born in 1969!

Like Gust below I also await IU Friday, which living in the US I actually get to see on Thrusday. I am glad to see you back and hope you had a great holiday. I know you record these episodes well in advance of their actual airing which I was remind of when there was no mention of the ground shaking news of IU dating Jong-Suk. It has often worried me an bothered me that she didn't appear to have that one Special person in her life, so my heart was eased to hear this news. There was another piece of news that broke on January 2nd that you may have missed, so just in case I will share it with you as it is an extremely impressive honor. The iconic American Rock and Pop music publication released their updated list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time an UI made the list at number 135. Jong Kook was the only other Korean singer to make the list at 191. Considering that IU has only performed once in the US back in 2014 at the Kpop convention in LA and has not performed outside of Asia todate (as far as I know of) just adds to the level of achievement this is for IU, for there are other very talented Korean singers who are better known in the US than IU, largely because they tour here, says a lot about IU's talent and the shadow she cast which always surprises her. Since I first discovered IU, as an actress in My Mister, then discovered her singing I have told everyone who would listen that she is one of the greatest vocalist in the world today and not that I needed confirmation of that fact I now have confirmation of that fact. This is not the first time that a US publication has named IU. In 2014 after her appearance at the Kpop convention in LA The New York Times wrote that IU was showing the way forward for the KPOP industry. And 2018 in article about Music's influence on culture the New York Times published a list of the 25 most influential artist on today's culture and IU was listed at number 9 on that list. She is a special person with awesome talents and abilities that have only brought goodness and happiness to her fans, that may sound cheesy but the truth is the truth. My granddaughters have all become IU fans. The oldest one told me the other day that for her the reason why Blackpink was better than IU was because you can't twerk to IU's music, lol. Nothing against BlackPink at all, but my granddaughter without realizing it had in fact made my point.
