The one thing that seems very questionable to me is “why would the rest of BTS be affected by IU’s presence?” If JK is the one with the huge crush on her, then why are the remaining 6 all discombobulated?? RM literally stops in his tracks when he spots IU sitting to his left, takes a second to think about it, turns to Jin for reassurance, nervously opens and closes his left hand several times, then finally decides to sit as far away from her as possible leaving a huge gaping hole in between them. As the leader, wouldn’t it have made more sense to move over to allow for more seating room for the other members? J-Hope & Suga in the back trying to direct traffic, Jin trying to be the supportive older hyung, V being all kinds of lost but still side-eyeing IU, while Jimin is just socializing in the back!! 😂 There is so much going on in this short scene but if clearly shows that BTS is hyper-sensitive/aware of IU’s strong presence and the tremendous amount of respect they have for her.

kailani true but i wish they'd just approach her because iu once said its lonely at times like this to be a solo artist. You'd notice jung eunji of apink always approaching her first at events like this. IU is a shy and a bit of an akward person so its also hard for her to approach other people she's not close with first. Unless BTS or Jungkook in particular makes the first move, nothing will ever become of it. And my ship wont sail. 😂

Cai Seyer - I have a theory about that...I strongly believe that IU & BTS already know each other and are actually quite close (including JK). What we see in public is their professional image that they always put on display for the public to protect each other. For example, she’s really close with Oh Hyuk and the rest of the band members, but we never see any type of interactions between them in public (GDA, 2018). IU is also close with Bang PD so I would bet that she’s close with all the boys as well. With her personality, I can see her getting along well with all of them!!

kailani i love iu the most but i dont think they are close though. The way they interact isnt like the way IU interacts with Baekhyun or Jonghyun (May his soul rest in peace). They always have this reserved attitude towards her because they respect her and because they dont approach her first, she cant either since she's also a very reserved (shy) person.

I think she doesn't know BTS in person. In other clip who sit beside iu or near her there are just eunji 93-line (one senior about 40-50 years old) melomance and little two girl (twice) when the seats almost full .In Korea IU is really respected highly by public idols and also musicians. You can see in other videos or in news (iu's image is very mature and powerful musician IN KOREA and she is senior although she is still young (bc she debuted when she is around 14-15)

Dewi Uaena I agree with you. Looks like IU presence not only affecting JK but all BTS members. Even RM as a leader has to think first b4 sit at the same seat with IU , and has to encourage each other to take a seat close to IU. I guess they admire and respect her a lot to the point too intimidated to initiate a conversation or sit too close to her. IU I am sure would be happy to talk to them if they initiated it. Just like with twice and exo who in many occasions have a chance to sit close to her. I remember watched one of the MV when IU talked to Suho-exo who stood by his side on one of the award event, and suho couldn't stop smiling afterwards bcs he is also IU big fan! I guess the guys in bts has to start talking with her if next time they sit close to her. Then we could have a happy ending for them... Who knows?.. Hahaha... 😀😀😀

actually IU has many friends, she famous as a kindhearted musicians in music industry, and she often said that she has many friends, but as you know, Idols have many kinds of fans, there are so many of them have such immature mindset, that make some of Idols or public figures have to minimize their interaction on public... as you see in many kind of awards or music events, they don't do much interaction except of their known as best friend in real life... but I believe actually they are doing many interaction behind the scene ^^

Also I am particularly pointing out her being a soloist, as you can see, she is seated by herself there and no one was engaging in a conversation with her. When I say that, I don't mean JUST male idols, but even female idols doesn't seem keen on talking to her. They are probably intimidated of her. Ailee is also a soloist, but her personality is different from IU, she's not afraid or shy to initiate a conversation, so she doesn't feel alone among other collegues in events such as this. be it with a senior or junior. Also Jung Kook has always been vocal about IU being his ideal and has been a fan of her since her debut, I'm pretty sure all ARMY knows that, otherwise maybe they should pay close attention to him more. Also the fact that there are videos of him being captured in terms of how he reacts around IU , shows that Army really has no issue when it comes to the IU -JK pairing, besides I don't think JK will care much or will let the fans decides who he likes or not like.
