First of all, YES, BIG FUCK YOU to the many who are shading Lia basically for the fun of it. I truly hope she's not online to see that and can focus solely on herself. With that said, I get what you mean with the solos not feeling like "solos", however as songs themselves they are GOOD, and many of the other tracks are VERY good too. Itzy is different this time around but it suits them. It is frustrating that JYPe couldn't scramble a better MV when, for example, even a small company like S2 could do the absolute most for Kiss of Life

Untouchable is marking a new and stronger ITZY, it's probably their best comeback yet. Pls ITZY OT4 stans are kinda wild cuz they have the FUCKING AUDACITY to say bad things about Lia and she's on hiatus cuz of her mental health. It's just sad seeing people say things like that to Lia, she doesn't deserve all the hate.

She was so fun in the Cake MV. I can’t know what’s going on in her world. Chaeryoung used to get it too, then it seems like the haters finally noticed she’s good.

I am one of the few fans who truly thinks Itzy never had a really bad comeback. Yes, I do love Sneakers, Cheshire and Cake and their Besides have been one of the best since Wannabe Era. I’ve seen a lot of people say that old Itzy is back and that’s why they are good again. The album is nothing like old Itzy though. It’s good because it is good. That’s it.

You have to face reality that even if you like Itzy...even if you love their mediocre comebacks (sneakers, cheshire, cake) having you as their fan won't make a difference... yes you like Itzy but you're not a crowd... you're ALONE... and as long as you keep on tolerating the sh*t that JYP gives Itzy, Itzy will keep on going down hill... and not just them but even Twice Nmixx and that other Japanese group that nobody knows about are rolling downhill because of JYPs mismanagement

Not me missing the premiere bcuz i was in class 😭. Ok, My thoughts: Itzy redemption era, i still miss Lia i hope she's ok, that Yuna spoiler of the tour was funny, the song was GREAT, and Chaeryoung is a Main slayer

i feel like the only positive in the end from lia being gone is that it forced the producers to try something new, and i think its really worked out for them. i hope that they continue with this type of thing when lia comes back, it will literally be perfect. i love itzy and im happy that with untouchable and mr vampire, others are actually starting to like them again

Yes I miss Lia! I haven't really seen comments saying Itzy fell off due to her but that certainly wouldn't be true. It's not like Lia is the manager who is in charge of making the song choices that people weren't liking (sneakers etc). All the girls needed a break from the hard choreos, just like you said about Mafia in the morning hurting their knees. They most likely gave some simpler choreo before their tours to make it easier on them. It's also funny to say these choreo are harder, I learn some kpop dances just for fun, and older stuff like Loco is way harder than this comeback IMO. The reason people like the comeback is it goes back to the tough girl vibes vs the more sunny/young vibes of stuff like sneakers/cake, not cause Lia isn't here.

Also Lia’s vocals are much needed in Itzy’s songs. I felt Mr Vampire could have been better with Lia doing the highnote instead of the terrible strained highnote by Chaeryeong. I always have to skip the song whenever Chaeryeong screams.

Cheshire was soooo good though if they’ve realized untouchable after Cheshire it would’ve topped the charts

Hi! I love your opinion on ITZY! You forgot to mention one HUGE driving force of this comeback, solo, promotions with 4 members, etc and that's their 2nd World Tour! Yes, ITZY is back with bangers. Yes, ITZY showed us they can dominate the stage with their crazy performance music videos. Yes, ITZY proved that this world tour is going to be epic. Will Lia show up and just sing her solo? Idk but if she does, I will cry! If she doesn't, its ok! She (and us MIDZY) want her back at 110%

0:42 yeah if you guys heard about itzy’s 2nd world tour, Lia was in the concert in the crowd and I was tearing up 😢 cuz the members loved Lia and they miss her and Lia was tearing up too… I also have health issues and you how hard it is for me to go to the gym in high school I was learn how to play basketball 🏀 and I was mostly passing out in the gym and I get how tiring and hard to dance for Lia cuz I was also bboying too in high school it made me actually did a front flip but I don’t have enough stamina to bboy again cuz of my health issues so I get were Lia is coming from for her dances

Alot of people are upset about itzys comeback without lia (i am too) but did everyone really expect them to wait? Their last comeback back 'KILL MY DOUBT' was in july/august and lia's hiatus is a year long (I think). So idk but i expected this since I dont think a group would wait over a year for another comeback. I definitely expect another comeback starting or being teased before lia comes back but probably with a little lines for her. Anyways love their new comeback and I'm excited for their future. Lets wish for lia to get better while supporting the others girls!❤❤

listening to the album, the only songs i really dislike is born to be & escalator, everything else is bareable-good…SO GLAD 😭 also yeah, Lia was never even high in my bias list/ranking, but i miss her so goddamn much 🫣

요즘 케이팝에서 유명한 걸그룹들이, 히트곡이 많다고 해도 오토튠과 립싱크에 빠져 있기 때문에.. 월드투어로 무대에서 라이브할 수 있는 그룹은 거의 없을 겁니다. JYPark가 늘 강조해 온.. Live만이 살아 남는다고 했듯이.. Twice, SKZ, Itzy, NiziU, Nmixx 등이 라이브 비율이 월등히 높습니다.

For a song, like born to be, i think, getting a performance video is right option, coz, what would you show in a song like born to be... 🤷‍♀️

I actually feel like this comeback has done the opposite for me what people seem to be saying, it’s proven to me that lia is an integral part of their sound and they benefit from having her there. Like it’s a really good song but her vocal uniqueness within the group is missing from it

I love 3/3 of their recent comebacks' songs, but I agree 100% that they really phoned it in on the music video quality. The one set with all of the shitty old lamps in the background is satirical.

This is so far from old ITZY , lets not do too much, but its cute tho

@@Itzythebestcryaboutit First of all I am not saying they shouldnt evolve or smth. There is plenty of ways to keep a groups sound fresh and within/close to their original concept. They debuted so strong and had successful comebacks , and they established a strong identity visually and sonically , but then after 3 comebacks JYP decided to switch it up and after that its going downhill for them( which is sad to see).Their fans are divided, they lost their identity and they are getting eaten up by other 4gen groups. They still have a big group of core fans tho. I am not blaming them or shading them they are really talented I wish them all the best but it was so sad to see what JYP did to them.I just think they could have done soo much more if they sticked to their original concept/ style of production and then after some time they could have focused on how to evolve that style and genre that they were loved for, now they simply lost the plot.

@@nabicore IK this is an unpopular opinion but sneakers was the best title/album for me after their old itzy sound.

For the music video bit,I do agree that they are a bit underwhelming, and not JYP's best work. At the same time, they had 8 videos to shoot and i'm sure that although Jyp increased the video budget, it wasn't enough to cover all the videos and create a good product. As for the Solos bit, I do agree that while they aren't ground breaking, but they are quite good for their first songs. Personally didn't love Yuna's, so i don't really understand your argument about Hyuna and Yuna, especially since Yuna's has gotten the least attention and the least praise compared to her fellow members. At the end of the day, this is all opinion

this is the best song since mafia in the morning era everything after that was trash like a kids channel songs but this new album is fire made me listen to them again.

It's definitely a HUGE improvement. Unfortunately it missed the mark for me. Mr vampire is also my fav track on the album. I didn't like untouchable and I hated born to be. The solos were also meh except Lia's. All in all there were 4 decent songs I got from the album.

Not shading lia but I do think that the choreographers were at least conscious abt lia’s skill level. We’ve seen them do intense choreo as 5 but I did think that choreographered numbers that suited all the memebers. I rlly don’t think lia would have suited the choreo for born to be or Mr vampire well idk I could he wrong

@@Liry_59 I'm getting seriously fed up with Midzy clamouring for their old teen crush concept. You know, a band grows and matures with age. I'm going to disappoint some of their old fans, but I don't like their teen crush style, it's too childish. I don't like Dalla Dalla, Wanabe, Icy the only track I like from their old vibe is Not Shy. I became a fan of this group in 2021 when they went from teen crush to girl crush plus my age. I'm not a fan of Kpop and I hate cute concepts, bublegum for me it's too girly that's why I don't like Twice not my style. So when Itzy finally changed the concept I couldn't be happier because their album just got better. It's also obvious when you compare the reviews or the sales that the girl crush concept works better so why ask for the old one, I think just because people like nostalgia. But if you're a real music fan their best albums are : Guess Who, Crazy in Love, Checkmate, Cheshire, Ringo, Kill My Dought and Born to Be (which is their best album after 2023-2022). So if you're a real fan, most of you will prefer their change of concept.

@@Liry_59 Thanks, it's great that people recognise that Itzy's music has evolved in the right direction. I have the impression that Itzy is regaining popularity and when Lia is back she will finally be appreciated for her true worth. So when Itzy is back it will be even more popular. What's amazing is that it took a member going on hiatus to realise that she was essential to the group.

The song writing just isn't doing it for me... tbh Untouchable had potential but felt flat for the chorus... it's just not as engaging as their previous comebacks (exclude: Sneakers, Cake, Cheshire) and just doesn't sound as good as when Lia is around since she's the only member who can pronounce english words without being cringe and has the most unique voice type... also since they're all dancing perfectly, without Lias negative Publicity (which actually makes people talk about the group) this comeback just felt like a cloud burst... one minute it was there the next it's gone and forgettable...

ITZY IS ALWAYS ITZY , THERE NO OLD ITZY BUT WE DO MISS LIA. THEY SLAYED THIS COMEBACK AFTER SO MUCH HATE AND GET THE L HATERS.

i kind of disagree with wanting the "old itzy" back, honestly. they are artists with a need to grow and explore. sure, they do seem much more suited for badass concepts than for cutesy stuff, but some of the songs they put out from mitm to now (mafia in the morning included, it absolutely slaps) are definitely overlooked. i'm not even like, a proper fan, i mostly keep up with whatever has an mv, but the only title track i find no defense for throughout this whole period is sneakers. other than that, everything - even boys like you or cake - are actually enjoyable
