something I’ve noticed about putting in work to be a better person is that the smallest things count. Like just little teeny tiny acts of kindness can change your perspective entirely over time.

Not enough people are real online and share real honest thoughts like this, it's really refreshing. Thank you for being you and sharing yourself with us, this video has a really sweet life lesson in it that some people may never learn on their own.

Being nice is like a chain reaction. You being kind to someone makes them feel good and they spread that kindness because thwy feel good and want to make someone else feel good. But i do admire how you can just be you and post what you are feeling in the moment and openly talk about it. I appreciate how genuine you are and i appreciate you. much love Carrington❤️

fr i just started watching your youtube videos but you are such an emotionally intelligent person and it’s good to see people who have a more uplifting personality. I know you’re going to do great things. Also it is truly so easy to be a horrible person, and that is because it has no good personal outcome. being a good kind person is so rewarding, which is why it is generally harder to do. you have to be very intentional and stable to be able to respond to negative things with positivity. it can be temporarily satisfying to get the last word or be rude to a person who wronged you but in the long run being the bigger person is so much more rewarding. Although others can understand a reaction of cruelty or anger it says a lot more if they see a response of maturity. It is so hard to control your emotions, especially anger but it shows a lot when you are able to do so. Anyways your videos are so inspiring and i’m happy that i found your tiktok because it led me here. Thanks for doing what you do.

i wish i had a friend like you. i’m a very deep thinker like you, and i feel like a lot of people don’t think about these things. it’s really good for me and my mental health to watch your videos after a long day because it makes me feel less alone in these thoughts. keep up the good and honest work!

i will always say nothing in the world is free but kindness. it costs NOTHING to be kind and it can be as simple as saying hi to someone.

you catch more flies with honey than vinegar which is a metaphor for being nice to your enemies because being the bigger person is rewarding in its own way

pls DONT feel any guilt or anything like that making these videos i personally love them cos you think very similarly to me and they inspire me to be a better person and prioritise my own self development. and you expressing your opinions on here doesn’t have any negatives cos people have the discernment to agree and therefore absorb the shit you’re saying or do the opposite yk you’re still learning the ropes of life like the rest of us and you don’t come across as pretentious at all and we know you’re not tryna poison anyone’s brain dw😂

Hey, I don't think expressing your philosophies or ideas is pretentious at all even though they may be incomplete. Everybody is responsible for taking in the things they hear and seeing if they want to follow them or not. And everybody can have a different interpretation so all you can hope for is that it's a good one. But this message is overall positive so I don't see too much hurt that can come from it. I think as long as you give a fore-warning that you are growing as well I think it's fine. As for the message I love the positive-sum analogy and I think you perfectly described it so I'm not gonna add my thoughts on it. For the question about it being hard to be nice sometimes I completely agree. Throughout my life, I have always had to be the bigger person in almost every argument or situation, and so I get it. Honestly, I don't know if it will ever pay off, but I know that it makes me feel like I am growing and so that is the sole motivation that keeps me going. I think being a good person in general in most situations shows emotional maturity which I believe you have a lot of. Lastly, I want to say that I too hope that I don't come off as pretentious in my comments cause all I ever hope to do is just spread a little love or share my own thoughts. And you know I'm not anywhere near perfect, 'cause I am growing as well. I'm just good at expressing my thoughts sometimes. PS. Sending some love and care your way, cause it seems like you need some of it this weekend.

Ive been throught similar senerio with my friend, it was a year after my grandma died and he wasn't there at the time when i needed but I rose above to realize that's what i can do for him when his died and have grown close because of it. It's so easy to hate or be spiteful but harder to be kind and care but worth it in the end.

i feel shameful or some regret for being nice to certain people who arguably didn't deserve my kindness when i definitely should feel more proud of myself because of my mental resilience, really enjoying your videos. i find wording things difficult sometimes and your ideology's just hit the mark sometimes thanks for putting these out into the world you are in fact saying a lot ahahah

I think it’s only hard to be nice when your REALLY really going through it but it really depends on your “filter” like if you say smth rude to someone who didn’t deserve it and feel bad for it, you probably understand more ab the way it could effect someone than you realize. So then you start to rlly get how far kindness really goes, like for example the fact that that guy made your day by just seeming so genuine and friendly shows that kindness goes a long way :)

To be honest I totally get it, when you say that it is harder to be nice, I used to be really nice in a genuine way too and then some shit happened and I decided to be more selfish without being an asshole about it. But I will never be as nice as I used to be unfortunately, because you get hurt for what cost, that's why I am the way I am now.

so true carrington about how much easier it is to be lazy and mean versus taking the time to be polite and friendly, and even with being nice it can be really easy to be nice to the people you love and get along with but the real challenge that helps you grow the most is loving people that don't deserve it at all, choosing to be nice to them because those are the people that need it the most right now :)

I saw a video yesterday by Matt Khan he said the highest enlightenment is loving kindness. There is not going to be a higher wisdom that precludes or discounts loving kindness. Also this made me think of my teacher that once said : we can respond silently to others judgements in two ways. The first way you stay in silence but it's coming from a place of disempowerment, the second is alchemized, its comes from a place of wisdom and connection to the divine. Nice that you inherently get this

I feel the same, like when I'm talking with someone and they say something inherently mean about someone else that I obviously don't want to hear it makes me feel like I'm the lame one for wanting to stay neutral on it all and leave other people out of it - like I'm boring? That shit sucks 😭

I think it’s easier to be mean in the moment, but I think being nice makes things easier overtime. It sucks looking back on moments you could of been kind instead of hurting someone.
