skinport - right side - see all deals - sort by highest discount and add the max amount you can afford (1, 3, 5, 10 euros) and you will get some really nice deals! you're welcome! ps: get some playskins, they will grow in price with time - i got Number K with 6 euros and now it's 35 i think?

Even for investors, it's not bad. It's only bad if you didn't sell before CS2, which I did! Prices will go up as content and majors come back.

They aren't malding at you affording skins, they are malding cause they want their inventory value balance drop by thousands. You buying skins is the exact reason they still have business.

Still remember those days where u could afford a knife for $40 and now the cheapest knife is $100 navaja...

"You dont want that, you want the skin to retain its value" if i can buy a nice knife and not overstress about it, i dont care if it retains value. I still use a frontside misty and the outlook for that skin hasnt appreciated, largely its fallen as other, better textured skins have come out. I want to use it because it looks cool and i like to use it in the game ive loved for nearing 20 years now. Its not about making money, its called enjoying the damn game. Ill keep the skin, because i just like it.

I use the same AK skin, I bought it back after I sold my whole inventory in 2017ish. It sucks cause my inventory would've been like 20k. I just don't care anymore, I just like specific skins lol

​@@seto007the thing is, nfts are just a picture with no real rarity, the creator/owner just puts a price and that's it. skins have rarity, there's a decent flow of them on a market and it's backed up as something you can use on a well known game. that's why skin traders stress so much over it having value, because as far as I know it's the only game with a real economy (besides eve online and maybe runescape but those work differently)

As an average player who heavily dislikes gambling, I love that now I might be able to buy at least one skin.

my friends and I still play a lot of CS and have a lot of fun doing so, the crash in the skin prices had the effect that we all startet buyin way more nice skins then befor it does make a difference if a nice glove knife combo costs 1k or if only the knife/gloves cost 1k

its interesting that the luxury market it has also been coming down aswell, rolex and other high ticket items have been dropping massively. it would be interesting to see if there is correlation between the two!

Just as crazy as people go when the prices of skins goes up (people start panic buying and shit from FOMO), people go just as crazy when prices go down (start thinking everything is doomed and prices will never recover). They may or may not, no one knows..just like prices of basically anything on this planet that has monetary value. Prices of houses....will they ever come down? Who knows...

I warned against investing in inflated Paris Team Logo Holo's but nobody would listen. The R.O.I. on opening Paris capsules continues to put constant downwards pressure on Paris, dragging down the average value of the whole sticker market with it. Thankfully everything non-Paris was basically stonks all summer 2023. Now is the time to look at your inventory and take note of what has managed to hold its value. Old stickers (2018-older) and Agents are holding value even in this market slump.

I haven't actually played CS since I wasn't invited to the beta in july (I dunno, just happened like that 🤷‍♂) but I'm still engaged in the skin market buying/selling/checking almost daily

I'm not worried in the slightest the prices are still astronomical. I thought they were ridiculous in 2021 and we're not even near that level yet. Prices can half what they are right now and i wouldn't worry in the slightest. They're still insane. I'd love them to fall a lot more and i have a couple thousand in skins.

despite me owning a few high(er) tier skins I'm actually glad that the market is currently "crashing". The prices were waaaay too inflated and I think the economy is better off when the majority of people can afford something instead of pushing them away from skins overall due to them being so pricey.

ngl, all the skins i own now and owned in the past got in my inventory as a play skins first and as a tradable item for other play skins second, beside I would absolutely buy a dlore if it dropped down to 200 and stabilized there

CS traders really can't wrap their head around people just liking the way a skin looks, while overlooking the price.

I wonder what the feeling is like in valve’s office? I can’t decide if they would be angry an hurt that all their CS2 work has been blasted an hated so quickly or if they might feel like they’ve let themselves down by having a actual release date that just added unnecessary pressure. I think in situations like this, this is where the silence from valve feels even louder because for all we know they could be panicking as much as skin investors with the state of their own game. Lol

its valve, it ain't that deep. They are always surrounded in silence, this is in fact the most engaged they have ever been with a game release. working hand in hand with pros to flesh out the flaws. They are still at record high players right now compared to two years ago.

They're a bunch of idiots. You can tell by looking at the results of their "work". Valve is not a poor company, yet they are always slow and late with everything. Then, when they release something, it's obvious that their developers are struggling to generate decent results. People like War Owl and 3clicksphilip should've been on their payroll for years now! Those two guys have more passion and knowledge about the game's intricacies than the entire cs developer team. I, as an absolute casual, have found numerous bugs and issues with csgo that haven't been fixed till the day it died. It always baffled me that they actually had major championships and a bunch of money on the line for such a broken and unpolished game! If they'll ever fix cs2, it'll take them years to do so and by then, it will most likely be too late. Amazing games come out every year and they'll only get better with time. Compared to the UE5 games that we'll have in the near future, cs2 will be a bad joke!

They KNOW how to make a good anticheat. Valve just doesn't want to make an anticheat that is intrusive to a user's data and files. Notably, a lot of other online games nowadays DO use intrusive anticheat, but valve has been chastised by the community in the past for trying to implement such a system. It's only now that intrusive anticheat is so commonplace that people want them to add it.

@@MrGulible do u not know how many cheaters cheat on high tier accounts, e.g steam levels , pins ect. They make money from all this especially trading cards via community market. They needed more money so they banned all red medals too knowing they would js make new mains and buy new skins.

lol if a dragon lore was $200 again. I’d buy one. Last time I owned a dragoon lore it was a .47 fv and I paid $400 for it. That was 2017 or 2018. 😂 so yeah I’d like those prices to come back.

Was able to buy my first knife recently, a bayonet Doppler phase 1 for around 550$ usd, buying it as a play skin/investment (wish me luck)

The thing I think most are concerned about investor and player alike is the player count dropping and continuing to drop without signs of slowing down, sure things are returning to pre-bubble but the question is.. will they continue to slide?

Probably during winter the player numbers may increase a bit even without an operation, atleast that's my theory. There's a lot of players (including myself) who only plays during these colder times. But until we get an operation and other game modes like danger zone we will have a rough time for sure, because playing premier 24/7 is pretty boring tbh.

Releasing the game polished would make a more interesting market for sure. But operations ALWAYS come with a downfall in prices. So prices would have been even lower if we were playing during an operation.

I know the skin market crash affected the top tier skins, but for me, a regular person, like the crash. I bought 5+ ST skins that looks nice for my taste, even though the skins itself aren't top tier. AK ST FT Ice Coaled M4A1S ST FT Nightmare AWP ST FT Duality Galil ST FT Eco M4A4 ST FT Tooth Fairy These aren't "top tier" skins for each weapon, far from it. But when the price crash I'm grateful I can buy these at a lower price, so the extra money can be allocated for stickers. Also I'm not planning to sell it in the near future anyway, it's a play skin. Unless some "top tier" skins price dropped even more and I can buy it for reasonable price

I got some skins invested 2k worth, theres nothing more than I would love than to see the market absolutely crash. Even if it costs me 2k. I left 3 years ago and CS2 is great but needs loads of work. The neglect from valve initially and not listening to the community, pushing skins and stickers instead of fundamentals being fixed. I hope it completely crashes into the ground 😂
