What a plane, climbs like an F15. What a great invention that synthetic vision is. **Thank you for not using any music** This is a big deal as I see so many other videos with this content ruined with music. Nice to hear the background noises. Amazing content totally subbed!! Can I ask a question - this plane is designed for use on rough fields. With that in mind why not go for high wing design? The low set wing is so close to ground and more prone to damage from gravel/stones/mud? Sorry if its stupid question!
@PlaneJunkies
Жыл бұрын
high wing jets are not common
@LBCORP1960
Жыл бұрын
Not a stupid question. You can attach a deflector just behind the nose gear to stop debris from hitting the bottom of the fuselage on an unpaved runway. The main gear are set far enough back that the wings are not effected by debris.

Hello.. explain de icing and anti icing, what are they and how do they work in one of your videos😊🍻
@Mark-pp7jy
Жыл бұрын
If you're asking about the types of fluid used, de-icing is Type 1, heated to roughly 180 degrees and used to remove all contaminants. Type 4 is used when precipitation is falling and aids in shedding that precip during taxi and takeoff.
@rizzodefrank
Жыл бұрын
Anti ice is like electrically heated prop blades or a heated windshield. It can also be a heated wing from bleed air. De ice can be pneumatic boots on wings.

Hi Tommy,do you tell ground crew before every engine start?
We're getting that rain in Tucson. Not supposed to clear up until Tuesday.
Looking to purchase a PC 24 if there was any optional accessory that you would have on the aircraft, what would it be?
I thought some of the controllers talked fast, Tommie is faster then any Mecum auto auctioneer geesh.

Did you increase your ROC to get above the turbulence? Also why were you getting an auto throttle warning? I love the avionics package.

@PlaneJunkies

high wing jets are not common

Not a stupid question. You can attach a deflector just behind the nose gear to stop debris from hitting the bottom of the fuselage on an unpaved runway. The main gear are set far enough back that the wings are not effected by debris.
When you do a battery start…are you able to do a generator assisted start on the second engine or do both have to start from the battery? Thanks!

I am fascinated by the Pilatus range of aircraft (PC-12/24) . How long would it take to attain a full licence to fly one of these craft from scratch ? I am a semi retired ER doc . It is my as yet unaccomplished dream .
Tommy , why were the auto throttles barking so much.? Looked like a fun flight .. BOUNCY !

Tommy, just wondering if offered a intersection take off can you do it or company policy says no can do. Say you have 7000 ft left to use on a 10,000 ft runway..pilots choice??

Hi Tommy, quick question. With the single point, do you ever have trouble getting a “top off” 5,964lbs (888 gallons)? Ever have to use the over wing ports to get a proper top off?

Where was the first time you encountered really bad turbulence? And what were you flying?
@PlaneJunkies

I’ve been they some heavy in a pc-12 but . When in it just have to fly the plane as best u can to get out of it . I’d say it was during a winter storm leaving mammoth . Lots of wind shear
If you would have had customers on board would you have requested different routing or done anything else differently to avoid/reduce the mod/severe turbulence?

Hello.. explain de icing and anti icing, what are they and how do they work in one of your videos😊🍻
@Mark-pp7jy
Жыл бұрын
If you're asking about the types of fluid used, de-icing is Type 1, heated to roughly 180 degrees and used to remove all contaminants. Type 4 is used when precipitation is falling and aids in shedding that precip during taxi and takeoff.
@rizzodefrank
Жыл бұрын
Anti ice is like electrically heated prop blades or a heated windshield. It can also be a heated wing from bleed air. De ice can be pneumatic boots on wings.
I hope you guys are not fully vaccinated and boosted,I heard a lot of pilots are having mild symptoms of heart attack while flying, specially being in a thin air environment.
