Its finished !! Completed van tour.

Well I’ve managed to finish the van at last so thought I would do a walk around to show the van in its finished state. #selfbuildcamper #vwcrafterconversion #builtnotbought

Thank you 🙏🏻 I’m glad my videos help inspire others as I have learnt a lot from other channels. I think the van has turned out pretty good too going to be good to get it out in it now. Thank you for supporting the channel and good luck with the rest of your build. If I can be of any help drop a comment and I’ll get back to you asap. 👍🏻

Looks really good, I like the light covers, I haven’t seen those before. Im sure you’ll be adding and altering things as you use it more. Im driving to Wales today, going to Bala Lake.

Thank you 🙏🏻, the light covers change the look up a bit which is what I wanted rather than it be a plain white van. I think the black additions break the white up nicely now. Oh I’m sure things will evolve as we use it more. Oh nice one that’s up the North, I went there a couple of years ago touring the north in the truck and roof tent. We are off down Cornwall way in a couple of day. Enjoy your trip 👍🏻.

Really like the finished result. When you covered the rear door pillar in tweed what material did you use underneath? Also did you fill in the holes? Thanks for any tips

Thanks we’re very pleased how it’s turned out, been in Cornwall all week so it’s had a good testing. I didn’t put anything underneath on the rear door pillars as it’s just to cover up the white paint of the van. I didn’t fill the holes just incase I need to access the wiring at any point so pulled the tweed tight across those sections. With the bed in place and the rear blind you hardly see any of this now but at least the sections you do match the rest.

@@luxduoverland674Thanks for the info. I really like the tweed although I’m mixing it with carpet in places.

@@digb1 the tweed is nice but it’s quite difficult to use in some areas due to not stretching like the carpet does. I have used the tweed throughout to keep with the colour scheme but that’s what good about doing your own as you can mix and match as you want. 👍🏻.

Hi. Did you use the wiring of the light above the rear doors in any way? Thanks

Hi, no I didn’t the lights in the ceiling and reading lights are plenty for the bed area. The garage area has two LED strips lights that are operated by a switch just inside the rear door. All of these have their own wiring linked to the leisure battery.

Thanks. So I’m guessing it’s safe just to tape up and leave in the cavity?

@@digb1 I taped up the connector with insulation tape and left it in the cavity and haven’t had any issues.
