Chelsea need to invest more in their academy and bring up players who will die for the jersey, they need a massive restructure to their whole mentality, culture and what it means to play for Chelsea. They need to get all the Chelsea legends back at the club involved in some way and letting the players and staff know what the club stands for and what it means to the fans. The analogy is flawed. Caicedo and Palmer are good I agree, Gallagher was good in his loans. But Enzo (half a season playing decently in Benfica and coattail riding on Messi and Argentine superstars), Sterling (was sold partly because of his piss-poor finishing and selfishness), Nkunku (injury record), Silva (dude is almost 40 years old), Chilwell (injury record). These players are flawed and are not complimenting each other. Some of them just can’t do it anymore (Silva), others are lazy and treating their contracts as guaranteed pension money (Sterling, Chilwell). Not to mention the crazy money paid for the two midfielders who haven’t live up to expectations, and quite frankly they’re just kids being pressured to do a lot for a flawed system created by Poch.
