If Etho had his own catalyst, it would be Treasure Hunter + All treasure rooms are guaranteed to have one treasure scrolls, but all mobs are Impossible Dungeon Spider Champions

just so you know, adding a wither skull to your crystal currently adds a random curse there's even some really bad curses that you can't roll randomly that you can only get from that

IDEA! an item to add to crystals to make them locked, this would allow for challenge crystals among friends, like the chaos crystals youve done with Etho.

I'll never figure out how you manage to loot until the last possible seconds like that. Well done.

I like the design of the collapsing curse. I hope to see a redesign on how curses are added / removed when catalysts are patched. As it currently stands there's no reason to have curses on your crystal aside from running out of motes.

Iskall you should make braziers drop kelp sometimes when plundering, so there can be kelp moments like with mystery boxes in 1.16

Hey Iskall, I've been noticing that every time a brazier has the Shortened debuff, you always skip it. Don't you think that means that it's too punishing? Maybe it should be 30 seconds instead of a minute, or add a rare positive modifier that can add time as a brazier too instead of just on golden pylons? I don't think it's good when a negative effect is so "punishing" that you never ever take it. Love all the content though, keep it up!

some modifiers are supposed to be worst than others and some are much better, there are some extremely good buffs in braziers that would be worth the shortened, its just a higher bar than the rest.

At 22:34 Stress finds a legendary positive, but "Shortened" so they don't take it, which is exactly the point i'm trying to make. I understand that some are worse than others, and that is totaly okay. But when one modifier is something that you never take, it might as well just delete the brazier when it spawns in.

I think in the first VOD from today Stress & Iskall take a Shortened at the end of the vault cause it's combined with Accustomed. I think it's just a risk vs reward depending on the combination of modifiers. I agree that it definitely would be a very rare occasion to take it and it probably shows up a bit too much.

​@@OfficialRKanThat was mostly (I believe) because of the fact that Iskall misread. He thought that one of the curses was Rotten (which makes it impossible to increase the time via fruits), and no one thought to double-check and call him out on his mistake. In a Vault without Rotten, Shortened just means that you may need to eat a few more Kiwis/Lemons/Oranges than usual (not exactly dangerous (unless you're down to your last minute), just a bit inconvenient). But if you're in a Rotten Vault (which, because it's a curse that does NOT come from god altars, you HAVE to go out of your way with ignorance in order to end up with Rotten... and with Catalysts getting overhauled, it will become a complete nonissue unless there's a way to intentionally opt-into curses), Shortened is a 99.9% risk of being a death sentence.

I think they are skipping them because they are trying to get as much time in the vaults as possible so they can get the most burger parts possible! Normally I think Iskall would take at least SOME of the shortened ones.

I am a die hard fan of this game and fully in agreement with your trust the process philosophy - but you said you didn’t mind some rational argument so here is mine. I feel like you undermine your argument for removing relics every time you let someone with relics into the vault first. There is clearly a use for this mechanic, it’s a feel good, a buffer for shortened vaults, and boost for people that aren’t as skilled as you but not far off enough to want to change therir vault mode- like me. With this change I might need to change my vault mode and that would be a very feel-bad. Why not let it be optional when you use relic boost for each gamer, as you are doing yourself? Thank you again for everything you are doing ❤

I really liked seeing the curse and hot it affected the vault. Curious if in the reowrk for catalyat you could curse the crystal to give it more capacity

There should be a vault modifier that intentionally adds lag to make it harder

I feel like shortened is a bit too bad of a punishment. It seems like a minute of time in the vault is worth more than any positive modifier you could get and you sorta showed that with the shortened + treasure hunter braiser because treasure hunter is one of the rarest and best modifiers (I get that it's a bit different b/c you were going for living but the idea still stands). I think that any braiser modifier should be worth it in some situation but it just seems like some are wasted with shortened. Idk if they it can appear in random pillage braisers but that sounds bad as well because if you're below a minute and pillage, theres a chance of instant death with nothing you can do to prevent it.

I think it would be funny to have a special type of crystal where the more curses you added, the better it got somehow. Maybe do something with time for that? If you're removing relics, it is good to have other ways to increase vault time, I think, but what about a crystal where the more curses you added, the longer the vault got? Maybe even just do that in general, where every curse on any crystal gives you more time or something, so it's a tradeoff?

I've done this bunch of times, once in architect dragon room with 10+ wealthy, with 5+ curses 3 of them was mining fatigue HAHA This was when I just finished my new tools so I'm broke, then died in the very next vault.

Iskall: I love a challenge, I love the RND. Vault: NO FRUIT Iskall: This sucks, I hate this. Why didn't you clean the crystal. LOL

Idea on how to nerf hunter a little without ruining it: Only add particles to the POI with a chest type, not to every chest. This way you find what you look for but you don't know if it's a big POI before you get there
