ITECHWORLD JS80 VERSUS ARB PROFESSIONAL - CAN THEY POWER UP A PORTABLE FRIDGE
Can an ItechWorld JS80 or an ARB Professional jump starter - power up a fridge.
We have a brass monkey fridge we sometimes use in the car which plugs into a 12volt power supply but only runs when the car is turned on. So I thought maybe I can use a jump starter to provide power for a short time when the car is off. It was an interesting comparison which shows the JS80 can do the job but the ARB is not designed for this task.
Both jump starters have USB ports, flash light, 12 volt 10 amp port and are capable of jump starting a car. They both can be charged through 240volt and 12 volt. The JS80 can be charged via 12 volt and simultaneously power up a devise such as a fridge.

Good video. This would catch some people out I think. I wonder if the shops would tell you if it runs a fridge or not

Good question but I suppose if you go to buy a jump starter most people are thinking about a flat battery they probably wouldn’t be thinking about if it could run a fridge. Not sure if sales people in a shop would know. Cheers!

Thanks Sep, love my JS80, good to know how long can run the fridge on it. Have run my starlink on ours for 1 1/2 hrs using 200w inverter a couple of times. Great bit of gear.

@@mrlautomotive712 according to the instructions you can plug the JS80 into a charge port in your car and run a car fridge at the same time. So when you turn off your car the JS80 will run the fridge then when you start the car the JS80 will start charging and continue running the fridge. Best if you read the JS80 manual to be certain that it will do what you want it to. Cheers!
