You have done the right thing going Lithium, you'll never look back. Not my preferred brand due to their lies, but you have done it, and I hope it works out well. When you add another battery and the 2000W inverter, you will need to upgrade the cabling and fusing considerably. 64mm2 cabling at a minimum (check cable distance, and over size the cable). Add more solar and you will love the off grid ability...

You should connect your negative wires last and arcing is not a problem, always disconnect negs first and connect last, you will never get your battery to 100 % charged with a AGM charging profile and will eventually reduce the life of your battery.good luck.

We had 2 of their batteries just dropped into our AGM system and had no issues 2 years in and then got excited and added a 3rd Itechworld 120x and also changed the whole setup to everything Itechworld. Very happy and works a treat.

Well made video 👍 thank you. I was wondering about how it would work for us - by using the same ( but) 240amp/ hr iTechworld lithium battery and what to do… so this video was very informative and helpful ! Cheers for sharing ❤

Thanks for the feedback, appreciated. Have had no problems and everything working as it should. Have now added 2nd 120xpro. I would check the charge wire where it connects to battery, where they fitted fuse before battery connection, the wire was much thinner causing resistance and heating up. Have fixed now, just place hand on leads and check for any warmth. Thanks for watching Ken and Julie

Note: the heating up problem has been there since van was new. Nothing to do with battery change. When i took the old one out it had marks where the cable sat on the top of it.

Hello Ken. Firstly thank you for your videos. I too have an Essential Caravan Design 1-1. Could you please advise the necessary steps needed before you can actually disconnect the battery. Thank you, Tony

Hi Tony, good question, I should have mentioned it in the video. I disconnect 240v if connected, isolate the battery on the Trek monitor (on mine top button with pic of battery), at this point the solar if daytime in sun will still be imputing via the battery charge cable so you need to cover panels or disconect the solar imput positve cable on the battery management system. Disconnect negative on battery then positive being careful not to earth out on caravan or chassis. Reverse when putting new battery in. Im no expert, i take it slow and be extra careful. Hope that helps Thanks for watching, appreciate the feedback. Ken

Thanks for the video exactly what we needed to see. We went through the same thought process as we have the same BMPro35 system. We are currently on the road (with failing Lead Acid batteries) with our two I-Tech 120ah Pro batteries arriving to a town on our journey about 10 days away. Did you have to get them out of sleep mode with a jump starter? We have also subscribed to your channel. Cheers Graham and Jo OZLAPN (KZread)

Thanks for watching, The batteries will come close to fully charged so you can just drop them straight in. I have had no problems and still going very well. The 120xpro's definatly get 120amp out of them, makes a huge difference. Thanks again. Ken and Julie

Great explanation Ken and camera work from Julie. When you do your testing over the next two weeks it would be appreciated if you could show a comparison between the trek screen and the Itechworld screen. I would like to see the difference in the numbers between the two. I also have the trek screen a 120 amp agm battery and the Bmpro HA35 but do not have a shunt and always thought maybe it is needed. Thanks Ken looking forward to the test results.

id suggest you go into your trek display settings and tell the bmpro the battery capacity in there, as thats the one monitoring the charge input and doing the charging ( if you havent already ) i also have a bmpro35 in my van with 2x120 AH AGM and are looking to upgrade to these drop ins. See if you get parity between that seperate monitor and the trek display.
