I remember Itan came to one of our 16u travel team's practices a while back and it was amazing. I play goalie and let me tell you, this guy is nuts. He can dangle like nobody's business and he did these crazy lacrosse moves that left you dizzy. And yet he's one of the nicest players I have met for some reason haha, he wasn't cocky at all. Even though none of us were in his league haha. This dude is for real though. One of the best I have ever been on the rink with.

That depends, there are hockey stops where the players lean in the opposite direction and push off from the edge of their wheels, or you could glide to a stop if you want to.

Yea, in tournament hockey its almost like Ice hockey. It gets very physical depending on the refs at the specific tournaments.

they can stop abruptly, the surface they play on is like ice, so it's almost like stopping on ice skates.

roller and ice are 2 different sports. inline is alot more individual skills and basically dangles vs ices very encourged team play. i think roller is more fun having played both it is alot more laid back but trust me it gets just as intense

@sandlane Im guessing a lot of tournaments since he does play on a pro team. Depends on how good he is because this level of play is very tough and an average ice player will not just excel in roller. I have seen great ice players be great in roller so it all depends on how the person may adapt to it

I think so, not many inline players wear socks, and I think I can see blades on their skates.

@Hockeyplaya1304 my point is roller hockey is excellent training for ice. hate on it all you want but many nhl players get where they are from roller hockey training. btw this kid itan played juniors and in the echl. echl thats professional ice hockey so if he wants to play roller hockey till he's 40 whatever..

Yea it is. You can hit him if he has the puck, just can't trip him or anything. Slashing hooking, etc.

I laugh at some of the goals as the goalies can't really play a real lateral game, that's the big knock on inline, just go lateral and score. not knocking the skill of the players though as the passing is always great, stick handling is nice.... and the shots are still hard, but put it on ice and half the goals would be gone. nice vid though.

inline and roller are in no way the same in anything at all, u try all that toe drag shit in ice your getting your head ripped off your shoulders, inline and soccer have more things in common than inline and ice, sar sar, its the truth

  • @Taeeela23

its funny reading your guys comments when you don't know anything about hockey. Inline there is no trips or anything allowed. Ice there is only some things allowed. You can not slash or hook or do whatever you want. Thats bullshit.
