We visited the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. The history in Rome is so epic and incredible.
All the buildings, statues, frescoes were stunning. You can see how they are restoring so much of the city.
We used Get your Guide. We booked ahead of time and prices were reasonable. You can cancel up to the day before if need be. Just be careful as some of the admission prices are an extra cost in addition to cost of tour. We also had trouble paying on line through the GET YOUR GUIDE app. Pay pal seemed to work fine with the app as opposed to using your credit card. The other issue is you are limited on time during the tours.
Hotel Varese was a great hotel located near Roma Termini, great restaurants and also near many attractions.
