Me lo ricordo bene il periodo dei mondiali di Spagna del 1982. Stavo facendo la scuola alberghiera e facevo la stagione estiva tra un anno e l'altro in un club (piscina, tennis, ristorante, discoteca). Il proprietario del club scommise con amici 350 mila lire che l'Italia avrebbe perso, e perse la scommessa. Contro il Brasile convinto che a quello non sarebbe sfuggita scommise 450 mila lire. La nazionale fu soggetta a pesanti critiche in quel periodo, ma i giocatori si rimboccarono le maniche e sappiamo com'è andò.

What I find so amazing is that after each foul, both the victim and the perpetrator stand up and walk away, as if it is business as usual. No mass fights, no attacking the ref, no coaches acting like hysterical babies.

En todo caso Italia es heredera de la grandeza etrusca, romana, de los papas y del Renacimiento mucho más que la Argentina porque está en el mismo lugar geográfico, pero como entidad política Italia no es más antigua que la Argentina. Yo me siento aún hoy, a más de 150 años de la llegada de mis ancestros a Buenos Aires, más genovés que italiano culturalmente. Y a pesar del proindigenismo victimizador tan común en Sudamérica, sin Italia no habría Argentina tal como se la conoce hoy.

Vero! Tardelli era strepitoso, intercettata palloni, marcava a uomo, faceva ripartire l'azione.. e in questa partita, nell'azione del suo gol, parte dalla sua metà campo con una velocità di falcata impressionante. Qui era veramente al top. Lui, Scirea, Conti e Cabrini furono davvero la "spina dorsale" di quella squadra. Rossi è da aggiungere a questi "mostro sacri" solo x la seconda parte del Mondiale.

Argentina were very good, Italy were better but Brazil was the team that should have taken he World Cup easily. They only needed a draw against the Italians but stupid defences errors cost them the game. Brazil has never had a good defence and in that World Cup they had the worst. Yet they had the Greatest of the players in the World Class men of Socrates, Zico, Falcao, Junior and Eder. What an incredible team. Just one game with their errors cost them the World cup. Zico should have received a World Cup medal. It was a beautiful and brilliant team, Brazil

Fillol, Kempes, Bertoni, Tarantini, Pasarella y otros grandes jugadores del 78, (salvo Ardiles) llegaron al 82 con más nombre que fútbol...en el video no se ve la jugada previa al segundo gol de Italia, allí Fillol sale desesperado una y otra vez a intentar detener el ataque italiano hasta que ya no puede más...ese gol desnuda las múltiples deficiencias defensivas de un equipo con más nombres que fútbol... ESTE ES EL MUNDIAL DE ROSSI....como el del 86 es de Diego, el 94 de Romario, el 98 de Zidane y el 2002 de Ronaldo...

Anche di uno come Scirea.. e non solo per la classe ma anche per la correttezza. Incredibile x un giocatore diventare il miglior libero del tempo, senza essere mai espulso..

Italija je najbolja reprezentacija na svijetu svih vremena jer daju poseban šmek, a to je taktika i nepredvidivost čak kada su i u podređenom položaju u odnosu na protivnika koji unaprijed strahuje od imena Italija iako zna da je nekada u datom momentu bolji ali nikako uopšteno kakvi su AZURI. Mnogo je tu talenata bilo koje ne smijemo zanemariti ali ekipna igra im daje poseban epitet. Treba biti objektivan, a ne gledati isključivo u pojedince kakav je bio vrhunski Maradona. Dosadna su takmičenja kada nema "šminkera" kakve samo Italija može izvesti na zeleni teren.

En el rostro de Diego se nota la bronca, la insatisfaccion, ese plantel tenia nombres pero no un equipo (tomen como referencia la Scaloneta, eso es un equipo de hombres) habia muchos Caciques, Diego era un inexperto de 21 años y ni las pelotas paradas le daban. No era su mundial. Diego se preparo 4 años para que el 86 se el suyo, como lider y jugador magico. Ningun jugador brillo tanto en un mundial como Diego en el 86 ni fue tan determinante e importante para su equipo. Fue superlativo lo de Maradona. La guerra de Malvinas tambien se colo en el plantel..habia tristeza.

Acá Maradona estaba apagado, muy lejos del monstruo que fue en México 86. Creo que estaba incómodo, tenía un gran equipo al lado en materia de nombres (Passarella, Kempes, Tarantini, Fillol, Díaz), pero este equipo no funcionaba. Aparte de su falta de experiencia. Gran mérito de Bilardo armar un equipo que girara en torno a él, como hizo Scaloni con Messi en Qatar.

What? Maradona was the most fouled player in the World Cups, particularly this game the most. If Italians played clean, Argentina would it beat them easily.

@@harshtruth5003 that was a very sad World Cup for Argentina. Right after the Falkland War the football team want it to give the people a happy time. Menotti strategy was very naive compare with Bearzot’s catenachio style. Argentina was on the attack the whole game while Italy played the counter attacked to the perfection. 1 week later they beat Brazil the same way. That doesn’t undermine the 3 or 4 excellent players that Italy had.

@@harshtruth5003 Argentina don’t have a chance. To win a World Cup you need 1 or 2 goals coming from defense players. I don’t see that coming.

I was very young at the time. Of course I liked Brazil and all the magic but I really liked this italian team. As a matter of fact I still think that this Italian team could beat any of the world champions in history, any.

Non si trova mai l' altra partita, Brasile - Argentina, sarebbe interessante vedere come i "lunghi" difensori brasiliani marcavano Maradona e come gli Argentini limitavano Zico e gli altri verdeoro talentuosi. Ci scommetto che i difensori brasiliani "pativano" Maradona meno di quelli europei perché erano più abituati ad attaccanti tecnici

first of all thank you for your work, but we are not able to see a full attacking attempt from either of the teams, there're too many subtracted scenes, even the goals are not clear, only the last one or two touches of the attack..... it would be better to concentrate on fewer but more whole attacking attempts, which throw us back in the game again after all these years. thank you one more time

Si’ ma in basso si vede un giocatore in fuorigioco. A quei tempi non si faceva distinzione tra posizione attiva e passiva. Per le regole dell’epoca la decisione è corretta e abbastanza facile.

@@calzabbath Baggio Maldini Buffon Baresi Rossi Del Piero right up there with the best players of all time in their positions. In 94 they lost to a bad shootout not to a better team. Baresi and Maldini shut down the best offence. In 1998 Italy was better than France but lost to a shootout in semifinals. Brazil was better than France in 98 but ronaldo was poisoned or the team was paid off

Gentile no lo dejo mover a Maradona...

The most brutal foul that deserved to be sanctioned with a direct red card is at 1:18 from Argentinian Tarantini on Tardelli...Gentile in his entire career never made this type of fouls! PS: Referee gave Rossi a yellow card for complaining.

Ci fosse stato il VAR in tutti i mondiali di calcio giocati l'albo d'oro oggi sarebbe completamente diverso.

After 30 min of Gentile treatment, every player was out of the game, not only the young Maradona.

Gentile ha annullato Maradona.

Back then the rule was different. ANY player beyond the offside line would be causing the infraction, not just the player playing the ball, like today.
