@@paulsayers580 the power, the fact that it's close to a knuckleball, and that it's an unexpected placement I think make it a pretty impressive hit. Generally players would smash it across goal there, Bellingham slices into it in a way that's a lot harder to pull off, but if it works is gonna catch the keeper out. Ended up a bit too close so keeper got a hand to it but if it had been a touch to the right he'd have had no chance.

I've noticed a pattern with the media's coverage of England's performances. Whenever they beat a side like Italy, France or Brazil, it's always like: "Ohhhhhh but this is a weak Italian, French or whatever team. They are in a period of transition". In the 90s, 00s and 10s, England NEVER beat teams like this. I can guarantee (!!!) that the next time England beat one of the top nations, it will be exactly the same narrative.

Kane was phenomenal in all areas this game as well as scoring the penalty, he would have got an assist too if Grealish wasnt having an awful game. He means in general, and I have to agree. More often than not he scores braces and hat tricks in frivolous occasions and against poor opponents. Due to the stature of his domestic club he doesn’t really score important season defining goals. Hence why some people think his statistics flatter him somewhat.

And people are talking about Grealish how he missed that chance but not everytime you try to score you will have success,I've seen him playing for city and he is the best at assisting but they don't usually assist for him but he tried even if he didn't score he gave his contribute for the team. It was a glaring miss which could have cost England. Thankfully it didn’t. Dion Dublin on commentary for channel 4 was saying it was a really difficult chance. But it really wasn’t and he should have buried it. Can’t miss those chances at that level.
