unbelievable underrated striker. Also underrated here in Germany. He was the best german striker in the 90s. 27 goals in serie a in the 90s are like 60 goals in la liga nowadays

van persies goal was good, but it also defines the word overrated. watch the header goal of mexico against italy (borgetti)

Borgetti's was great but there's still the element of doubt over whether he meant for it to go goal ward or not. The way he aligns his jump and the direction he twists his neck, it looks like his intention was to header it back into the area for a teammate. Point being that there's a high chance it was a fluke. Van Persie's was pure, unquestionablr technique and class, not forgetting the length and accuracy of the cross that created it.

Radamel Falcao, Klose, Morientes, Drogba and CR7 are fantastic headers too. But the best header i've ever seen is the mexican Jared Borgetti. His header against Italy in 2002 World Cup was simply amazing !

Master of header in the old days. I remember he was Serie A top scorer. He scored more goals than Ronaldo & Roberto Baggio.

Ahhh memories as a youth watching what I thought was called 'goal laziooooo' (later to find the programme was called gazetta Italia) on channel 4 at mi grans. Oh how many times I used to try and recreate and be Oliver Bierhoff, and Gianluca Paluca, Del Piero, Pauolo Maldini and the rest! Ahh nostalgia :D

I loved bierhoff and was very pleased that he did at least win the scudetto wiith AC milan, but other clubs like manchester united, juventus and real madrid should have taken notice when he was playing very well at Udinese

If I didn't know any better I would have thought this guy invented header.

Don't forget about Mário Jardel, he won the European Golden boot two times and Champions League top scorer again, two times. In my opinion he was the best in the air.
