I've always admired the passion with which italians sing their anthem. In Brazil it became a trend that started at about 2012 or 2013 and had the most expression during the 2014 world cup, but it was mostly a midiatic thing. Italians, though, in every sport sing the anthem with great passion or great Joy. I remember when frederica pellegrini won an olympic gold and sang the anthem so happy and emotional. I really love that.

Fun fact, saturday we play against Austria, our anthem was written against theme: "Fratelli d'Italia" was written in 1847, one year before our first war for the indipendence and our unification (we was divided in smaller states before 1861). The anthem is a call for all people of Italy for fight against austo Hungarian emperor, who had the north, and drive them out of Italy.

I watched Italy for the first time in the world cup in 2006. When they beat France in the final, I was happy like a crazy. I was 7 years old then. I even had an Italian uniform which is written of its back Inzaghi but lost it.. Since then, as a Turk, I support Italy in every tournament.

Jorginho es Italo-brasilenio. Es uno de origen italiana por su familia que emigró en Brazil. su apellido Frello es italiano. First time I went to Palermo and heard this i fall in love. Im 20y older now ,but still love Italia! Congratz for big win tonight aginst Spain and best luck in finals. Forza Italia! Love from Serbia!
