As an Italian American your videos bring me back to my childhood living in our summer home with my great grandparent, grandparent, aunts, cousins and uncles. I remember gathering fruit from the trees, homemade pasta and stories around the fire. Ah what I would do to have those days back. I'm positive that this is what heaven will be like. As a Nonna you give me hope that my grandchildren will continue to have their Italian heritage in them. I feel so blessed that my childhood love and I came from the same home and we can now watch our heritage take a new path. I am a teacher and my days are filled with children who don't know family or God. I play your videos before work to help me through the day. Beautiful Italy my love was there before the virus hit. I hope to return where I can walk the streets of my grandparents and take in the beautiful culture that I as so proud to be part of. May God bless you both two beautiful people who are so in Love.

18 years ago we sold our house near the city and moved an hour inland into the hills of rural Aberdeenshire here in Scotland. Our home is a few miles from the nearest village and I have to drive an hour each way to work, but it was absolutely the right move. We have space, and land, and glorious views and although our neighbours are further away than when we lived in town, they are much closer in friendship. The commute works to clear the mind , and became much more manageable when I set up my own business and took control of where and when I worked. You have to re-centre, adjust to what is more important and where you expect to shop, and yes, adjust to not seeing the people you know already as often, but it has meant we brought up our kids among the hills and trees. Go for it.

denise its the most beautiful place on earth and thats no exaggerated , been all over the world because of job im very lucky for that and italy and japan are my favourite places. first of all their history, art and by the way according to the smithsonian and national geography they have 70% of the world art and also italy has 55 unesco sights and china has 50 . italy once this virus is gone im going back. watch stanley tucci searching for italy on cnn.

Tuscany has similar beauty as Oregon in the United States but the property you are renovating is among the finest land I have ever laid eyes on, ever. The food and your food presentation is delicious to watch. I love the timing of your productions. Everything done in real time allowing viewers to be present in your world. Thank You. I always think of introverts as stars that have falling from the sky in a timeless manner. It takes time to investigate each and every thing and study the perfection so as to replicate it. @Paris 07 - I too watch both video's and they both make me want to go back to Italy again...We spent a week in Tuscany and Positano a few years back...Like you I'm waiting for this pandemic to be over and take a longer trip back to Italy.

oh wow, just two days ago my boyfriend and me got a little vintage Carlo Bitossi pot as a present from his mom, who found it in a vintage store in a small sea town all the way up here in Norway!🥰 what a coincidence, we both said "this looks like something Kylie would have on her kitchen table, filled with lemons!" I love pergolas! my grandpa has been growing grapes on two pergolas we have around the house in Montenegro forever. they provide such beautiful shade and give super tasty fruit in the summers. although they're not entirely waterproof, so maybe a bit of bamboo would help with that:) thank you Kylie, thank you for making the world a better place ❤

This is absolutely fantastic, in so many different ways. Feels like I'm there, and never learnt so much Italian all in one go. I go to Italy all the time on holiday, and Tuscany last holiday before pandemic. I'd quite happily have holiday in the chicken hut as it is, perhaps a sleeping bag would be good. Also don't need a tele, perfect spot for star gazing I bet. Also, with living in England, it saddens me when old buildings get demolished, like mills, rather then spending abit of time and care renovating these buildings. Then not to mention the stunning scenery in Tuscany, wow. Video fantastico.

I have no idea how I found your channel but I haven’t stopped watching them today. Lockdown has some advantages. Refreshing to see an honest and fun couple talking sense whilst renovating beautiful buildings. Keep it up and ignore all the bad comments.

I am from an Italian family born in Australia and I laughed my head of at 17.26, so very true. Italians are scared of catching a cold or getting a fever but those of us born in Australia are more terrified of the wild life! Every time I look at long grass in whatever country I am in, I think, "Are there snakes in there?, and are they the death dealing type?". Kylie, absolutely wonderful as always! I look for this posting at least several times a day on Friday. Regarding the pergolas, I think long-term woven olive branches are going to give you the structure you are looking for to support the grapes and wisteria. In the short-term consider sail cloth, and I mean old sails. They are close to 100% waterproof, very strong and let a little diffused light through. Between this beautiful farm, your cooking classes, you are both going to have a waiting list of people wanting to stay during 9 months out of the year. Oh, as a man who has been happily married for forty-one years....let's get busy Guido. :)

I moved to the most gorgeous cottage on a hillside in Ireland. It overlooks a lake, forests and hills. It would be hard to imagine a more spectacular location. But it was very isolated. I ended up moving to a town and am SO grateful that I have neighbors and easy access to shops etc in lockdown. Isolation is very difficult in challenging times.

Plexiglass sounds good so you can be out during those summer thunderstorms.

such a beautiful part of the World. The sacrifice of living apart, for the common cause of a life together in such a magnificent place is what makes it worth it. You have lots of brains and the guts to pull off just about anything.

Italy is a beautiful place to see and visit, but unfortunately it is not the same to live here: there are many things that do not work properly at different levels. I - and I say this as an Italian - would like to emigrate for example! In Kylie's videos it all seems wonderful and poetic because she lives in a wonderful place, and it seems that she and her partner are well off, but they certainly do not represent the true condition of life for average Italians. Let it be clear that this comment of mine does not want to represent a criticism for anyone, but it is (unfortunately) the reality of the facts at the present time in the country where I was born and still live.
