Astonishing home! Yet, it is what one would expect/hope for in this part of Italy and that is really nice to see. Now that I've put my socks back on....what a house! For me the best parts are the stone floor in the kitchen, the fireplaces, and the view. It definitely needs more bathrooms. I haven't figured out what to do with the cantine, but I'd want to preserve as much as possible. This is one of those properties that I would enjoy seeing after it has been renovated and restored. It looks beautifully staged in a cool, rustic minimalist way. Superb original architectural details… although the hunting scene in the frescoes look English… and now that I think about it, the stone flooring in the entry room is also English-like. Incredible value for a character property.

We really loved that one, the agent did a great job of dressing it so we could see the beauty in the bare bones of if. ❤

I already knew this place would be my kind of property! I don't care one bit about surface mounted electrics when they work, are up to code and have those old switches. I'd get a kitchen installed and move in immediately and renovate over time. The living space would be large enough with plenty of space for guests, and the cantinas, what potential! I think those spaces would likely have been connected, at least the larger ones at some point, and as its not listed, internal openings aren't likely to be a problem (just a process and expense to file for). That space could make THE most amazing kitchen with dining space for a crowd and direct access outdoors! Stairs leading up to the downstairs double bedroom where you'd still have room for a snug. Or the smaller bedroom? You'd still have plenty of cantina left for storage. Or like you said, a separate apartment if the plan is to earn back some of the expense over time. Or to buy it with friends, relations. Wasp room turned en suite. I love the way its set with neighbors in the vivinity but enjoys privacy and none if them in the views. You know, looking at those wall frescoes I'm certain they've been "restored" or rather added to in the first half of the 20th century, likely directly onto the original which may have cracked, crumled or had damage. The background of the scen you zoomed especially is clearly done by two different hands and in different styles (the boar and dogs at a later date, a bit cartoony too). Very interesting. Perhaps some local artist had that privilege. What a lovely place to live! Oh and for someone lookingnto spend alot more, the idea of buying the entire building with the 200plus m2 has got to be the ultimate dream for an architect, interior designer, or someone working with top professionals. It would be a farmhouse palazzo! If I had the dough to buy this right now I might. And not change much tbh. Just fit and furnish. LOVE the patina and decay, and love that the really necessary structural work is done, like fitting that bath and wc, electrics, roof and a clean layer of painting. (that dark green IS nice, I agree.) I suspect rummaging would be an adventure of discoveries and elbow grease! Whomever buys this is one lucky bastard! 😉😍❤

So beautiful and full of character! Those stunning stone floors have been rubbed smooth after almost 2000 years. But definitely needs work to make it livable, especially heat, and if the new owner is going to do that they might as well add air conditioning 🙂

Hello Nick, Oh wow, look at those stone tiles! Fabulous. So original each one different! Wonderful fireplace- awesome!!! Drooling over view - what wild deer too and mushrooms! Yay! Omy Goodness, another fireplace, more stone tiles whoops -original terra cotta tiles and what is that on the wall... a fresco? Wowee! Oh yes, Nick definitely English about early or mid 1800's I bet the rest of the frescos are also the same artist - same palette of colors and brush work. Ohhh, what a lovely sweet large bedroom - feels almost like the old farmhouse! Okay back in the other room, wow, wonder what those frescos behind the kitchen cabinets are like. I would also use this as the main reception room!!! Sooo beautiful! Okay rip out the bathroom -get rid of those tiles. Oh lovely stairs! Huge bedroom - Awwwe what a great view! wow huge attic!! Ooooh love the canteeena stone ceilings sooo beautiful!....oh what is this? little shed?? OVEN OMGoodness - still workable>> Oooh canteenas make a lovely suite! That property, Nick, is just wonderful! Can’t be better! If I had the money I would have made this a historical piece of art, not damaging these things which must be honored for its historical values, but make the needed changes to fit in with the history of the farm. And even doing so, it’s possible to have a wonderful home!

Ok so you buy both sides for 525 eu then add 1 mil eu for restoration. then 3 years from now you have a really special place like the one we looked at about 3 weeks ago. cool but maybe just easier to buy something a little more finished unless you like huge projects

When I say I want to live in Italy, this is what I mean!! I would leave it as is. It took my breath and gave me that feeling in my stomach! Love at first sight!

With some investment into bathrooms and a kitchen, ( I would use the cantinas and make a big modern gorgeous one..). this place would be heavenly. the floors are just fantasic! the possibilities all over the whole place are fantastic too! it has what you need to bring it's features into today for it to be a wonderful home. for the right person can be a dream in the making. for me as a viewer i admire what is left behind of old workmanship that needs somebody's time, effort, and means, to make it live again! so much to work with! it's nestled in a great spot and could become someone's "sweet spot" of italy if they find a vision for it! you sure make old shine again in your great ideas and insights nick!

Ah. If I were younger and had the time and energy...

It has the most spectacular view. The building is a step back in time. I could see cleaning out one of the cantina, do a bit of work, and have a wonderful kitchen and alfresco dining. My medievil weapon collection would fit right in.
