You can tell they were trying so hard to be respectful, while being disrespected lmao.

There is good satire and there is poorly done satire... I applaud the band for not walking out in the middle of it, although maybe they should have. Too polite for their own good.

For those that don't really understand food in Italy. Even if they took them to the best 4 star(highest) Italian restaurant in all Los Angeles, and there are many, it is only a passable meal for them in what they, as Italians, eat commonly everyday. Not wealthy people, anybody. I have worked in 4 star Italian restaurants in L.A. So Olive Garden for them is just flat out Disgusting. I don't go there, but I would eat it. I eat almost anything edible because I was born and raised here. But I certainly know the difference of good, and well, bad food. I have spent a lot of time in Italy, and always had great Italian food at home. For them, born and raised in Italy, you might have no idea of how bad that food is, to what is normal for them everyday. Much respect to them for playing along. They really have to be good sports. I wouldn't be the least surprised if their stomachs weren't turning after.

The work of "Rock Stars" is really very hard when you "eat" at the Olive Garden and you are an authentic Italian. Heroic and too polite Maneskin. I can imagine how many "compliments🤬🤬🤬" for this "food" away from the cameras.

Damiano was trying so hard to not destroy them,.esp the guy with glasses who was so obnoxious. The man was nearly annoyed enough to go in the kitchen and cook himself😊

I don't think the stereotypes are funny. Did we get to know who the winners were btw?

After few days they said :"Olive garden" sucks

I don't get it. Why was this event organised? Where are fans? And why there's no any mic to record a conversation? You just gave them bad food and that's it.

Me neither. I could accept the low quality food joke if they had an interesting conversation but they did not ask them a single relevant question. I struggle to see the point of this video.

That was disrespectful and in bad taste. It's a perfect example of overkill, from the huge portions and waste of disgusting overcooked food, Italian in name only, to the ridiculous costumes and background music. “one of America's finest Italian establishments”? Really? In this day and age, there is no excuse for such insulting stereotypes about Italian and any other culture and food!

What's crazy is that they could've taken them to a REAL italian retaurant in LA like "Terroni" or "Eataly". Everybody knows that OG sucks. What were they thinking? Would you take your friends to a restaurant where you eat shitty food as a "joke"? Unbelievable. And i'm not even mentioning the stereotypes.

They weren't there to eat Italian food. They were there to see how an average American define it! What do you think that Italians have real sushi in their Japanese restaurant? It's the same. I went to some real Japanese restaurant in the Usa, run by Japanese etc. Here, in Italy they are mostly run by Chinese and the food is adapted to Italian preferences like everywhere.

I'm not Italian but love Italian food ,that stuff they served them looked aweful ,gross ! That's not REAL Italian food it's an insult to good Italian food. Why didn't they take them to a good place instead of OG? I'm surprised they didn't walk out and we're so polite man !

È un video terribile. Io mi sento offesa come italiana. Gli stereotipi utilizzati nell'abbigliamento, nel comportamento e nelle parole sono disgustosi. Il cibo soltanto a guardarlo è vomitevole. I understand your opinion really (I am from belgium) but I think they really had a fun reaction to this proving they are intelligent. The radio said that it was their idea and it shows their sense of humour too 😅 but we agree damiano would have made a better plate

@vpersiana they answered this on Instagram but you re right the costumes were too much and not funny and damiano surely wanted to leave when he saw super Mario 🤣 But the answers of the group literally killed me. That's just surrealist and absurd I am sure they laughed leaving the place if they felt offended they wouldn't have accepted. Fact is that Blacks get that as an offence because they are very insecure while Italians could care less..at most they would try to be as much respectful as they can as Maneskin did and never conced a second interview..but not because they are offended but simply because it's an antic made by a bunch of jesters.

Maneskin are so gracious and polite. I think I get what KROQ was trying to do but it was a fail. They don’t have a ton of time to eat well on tour. Take them to the best Italian food around or else to the very best American restaurant you can find. Don’t waste their time on this stuff. Would you take your best friend from China to PF Chang’s? Doubtful.

I’m sorry but as an Italian born Olive Garden is not Italian I ordered everything from pasta soup meat n after one try I returned everything!!! Horrible N they had Spanish cooks Now some Spanish people can cook Italian food but obviously they either have somebody that don’t know how to cook show them or gave them horrible recipes but my mother was second to my aunt and making spaghetti sauce taste like actual sauce and I can’t really eat anybody sauce but Olive Garden is the number one most horrific food I’ve ever had I was embarrassed for Måneskin to know that this is being pushed as Italian food and I hope that people that go to Olive Garden don’t think that’s the way Italian people cook because we brag about our food and then they’re probably thinking what the hell are they bragging about please hire a real Italian please

It has nothing to do with Hispanic cooks. Most of the ingredients for food at restaurants like the Olive Garden are pre-packaged and sent to the restaurants in a somewhat already processed form. So the cooks are most likely taking cans or bags of prepared sauces, pre-mixed seasonings, etc. and adding them to pre-packaged pasta cooked on site. Being consistent is the most important thing for these large chains--they don't want customers to be surprised. I would be willing to bet that many of those cooks would prepare a lovely nutritious meal if they were given a chance to cook it from scratch with quality ingredients.

As an Italian from Central Italy as them i would tell that most of the sterotypes they have on Italians come from Americans of South Italian ancestry at and what Hollywood depicts as "Italian" just represents 1\3 of Italy of 60 years ago at most.
