A helpful reminder for my Italian studies, but I was seeking clarification of placement of the adjective "nuovo." DuoLingo insists on "macchina nuova," adjective following the noun, but only allows "nuovo vicino," not "vicino nuovo." Explain, please.

Well, sometimes it is a matter of personal preference, but you can express different nuances depending on the adjective position: "una macchina nuova" is a brand new car, while "un nuovo vicino" is a neighbour I just met, he's new to me. I wouldn't say "un vicino nuovo", as a person can't be new. If I say "Ho un nuovo telefono" I mean that I changed my phone, but I didn't necessarily buy a new one; it may be new, but the emphasis is not on that.
