All thing considered, I don't think Sukuna really has any other choice considering that the chances of a suitable host for his fingers was stated to pretty much me 1 in a million, even if we consider there are billions of people on this world the chances of still finding one of those suitable hosts in whichever location a finger is hidden is unlikely, plus the longer no suitable host comes around, the more at risk a finger is at pretty much getting consumed by another curse.

I just realised that sukuna is a master manipulator , sukuna allowed yuji to punch him so as to give him confidence that he can beat him . So as he can accept the fight binding vow. That's why sukuna is always at an advantage even if he is at a disadvantage.

It's not even just his Cursed Energy. At this point he has quite a bit, but less than many sorcerers. It just lasts more with him because he can't use it on energy-hungry techniques. But we've heard multiple times that Yuji has superhuman strength and durability that make his normal punches without CE hit as hard as those from professional sorcerers, after they infuse them with CE. He's almost on par with Maki, and that's just because of her Heavenly Restriction

I have a theory, the deal Yuuji made with Sukuna may have a deeper meaning, as we know its a binding vow. One of the conditions made by Sukuna was that Itadori will forget about the deal, and the the other one was that he would hand over his body to Sukuna for 1 minute whenever Sukuna chants 'Exaltrate', now, what we might be missing here is that Sukuna might have no intention of switching with Yuuji. Regardless of his second condition stating that Yuuji has to forget about the deal(which he in fact does after his resurrection) the binding vow has been made and Yuuji has to fulfill the first condition of handing over his body. Now he can't fulfill the first condition if he doesn't know what the fuck he has to do when Sukuna is chanting 'Exaltrate', this violates their deal and as we know binding vows have repercussions when violated, it might end up giving Sukuna indefinite control of Yuuji's body, or at the very least revoke the vow made by Sukuna of not hurting anyone during that 1 minute. Edit: Ok so new chapter came out and was very different from the theory. Still, thanks for the amazing replies and discussion guys.

Theory od this guy is wrong because he assumes that Yuji has to change when Sukuna says so but that deal gave sukuna the chance to change with Yuji wihout Yuji's knowledge cause he already gave him consent during their deal while they were making it.

I swear to God Sukuna is only so chill with Itadori because he probably reminds him of himself in some way. Both are incredibly hard headed and determined, would make sense they'd find some common ground, even if it's not entirely non-hostile.
