ITA Airways | New Premium Economy | Flying from New York JFK to Rome Fiumicino | A330 | AF Lounge
This is ITA Airways' new Premium Economy on board of the new Airbus A330-941 Neo. The flight is AZ 611 from New York JFK to Rome Fiumicino Airport. The total flying time is approximately 8 hours.
The A330 is new. It was delivered to ITA Airways in May 2023.
ITA's Premium Economy features a separate cabin which is located between business and economy. There are 24 premium economy seats.
Premium Economy is definitely more expensive than the regular economy class. But it is definitely worth it. You get more space and comfort. In general, the food and service are also better. In my case, I also got access to the Air France Lounge at JFK. I could also use the Sky Priority check-in and boarding.

I have 4 long sectors booked on ITA Airways Premium Economy coming up soon. After watching your video (thanks btw), I think I'd better temper my expectations, especially with regards to catering which look mediocre, at best.

Well, don't forget that you get a an extra large seat. In this case, I chose ravioli. And there was a salad, desert and fruit. The departure was late in the evening. So this was supposed to be a light dinner. Meals also vary depending on the departure airport. So you may have a completely different experience.
wonderful flight report Dim.I am a fan of A330NEO.I've flown once from Seattle to Amsterdam on with Delta in economy.Very comfortable and quiet jet.

Hi! I also think that the A330 and A350 are great aircraft. The ITA long haul fleet is new and they are still getting more new planes, I think.

Well, I thought it's included in the fare but I was granted lounge access because of my Volare status. ITA uses the AF lounge in JFK.
How hard is ITA with carry on luggage? I cannot find 21x13x9 luggage as posted on their website. I have to go down in height to meet the length and width measurements. And i really need every inch for packing.

Yes, ITA has discontinued MXP - JFK.

Yes, especially at the front of the cabin! You can really stretch your legs! Anyway, in premium economy you get a larger seat with greater recline and more space.

Well, if you expect an English breakfast, probably another airline would be a better option. Actually, I also got a coffee and a blood orange juice but didn't record it. I found the yoghurt and muffin more than enough. I wasn't hungry at all at that point.
Catering looks very very poor. No welcome drink,unlike most other airlines P/E service,and pre landing plate was a disgrace. Seat looked ok. Galley looked like the Marie Celeste. I say all of this,having worked as air crew on long haul routes for many years with a premiere airline.
