very interesting...I'm totally off grid. I generate with a gasoline generator in the winter to charge my batteries when sunlight is insufficient. I ran my 5kw generator 124 hours over this last winter. I'd love to improve my generator efficiency by 30%. Thanks for sharing your investigation.

Starting back in 1987 I lived off-grid for 18 years. I just had a couple of 12 batteries, and very few electric things. I mostly charge the batteries with a car alternator set up to be turned by a used 4hp Hatz Diesel engine, I obtained for $100. It usually put out around 400 watts for charging. Off-load diesel was about 70 cents a gallon then, and I could run it for 12 hours on one gallon! Thanks for sharing your experience.

should have a volt amp meter set up for the comparison also maybe rpm is different

That's my first thought, if it's running 30% longer, it's running lower RPMs, it'd be an easy thing to test anyway

It would be interesting to see if octane booster in the wick would make a great difference. The higher exhaust temp seems to point toward less air flow with the wick, balancing both systems could be quite critical. On your exhaust manifold at the hottest point you need to drill a hole and force in oxygen, this burns the unburnt gas which is very important, because you can't get new fuel in until the old is out, this brings us back to balance it's real important when trying to increase efficiency, your trying to hotrod your generator, learn from watching what real old timers did, their job was to get as much performance out as possible, same deal here.Cheers.

Take a small liquid cooled engine, and run the carb intake through the coolant channels.!!! Add high pitch turbo impeller to the water pump. It would probably fraking work. Emulsify water in the gas fuel and you could get it to run on superheated steam.
