It went wrong at Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club
It's Easter Bank Holiday Weekend and we decided to spend it Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site. This is a site we have been to on previous occasions and we really enjoy the site. It is a large site with both grass and hard standing pitches albeit these are actually re-enforced grass which we really like as it gives us the firmness of hard standing but grass for Abbey.
As everyone is aware we have had a very wet winter and this last week was no exception. On arrival the campsite was very very wet and the wardens had closed off the grass pitches completely.
The hardstanding pitches were still very wet too and the grass areas around them was very soft.
Saturday was a beautiful sunny day and really quite warm. Sunday started off very murky but it did eventually clear at least for a couple of hours.
But Monday that was a different ball game altogether 2am the rain started and it was heavy too and it never let up, we thought we had stepped out into the swimming pool and yet again we were covered in mud.

I think it’s one of our favourite club sites although dependent on where you pitch you can get road noise. Not a fan of the pub, we just go to Scalby Mills 😊

We ate in that pub a few years ago back and it was awful. You are better off at the Scalby Mills a little further down the front.

I know the one you but never been in there. I think they must have a new chef here because last time we had a meal here it was awful but this was very nice. Thanks for watching Julie & Andy
