It Was Almost Disaster For My Poor Hoya Kerrii!! :-O
In this video I am tackling repotting and relocating my huge Hoya Kerrii Variegata. She's been growing in the same pot for years! I have yet to get a peduncle , but I'm still hoping for one in the near future. The roots were in pretty good shape, so she got new fresh soil and a wooden trellis to hold her trailing stems. I damaged her in the trellising process, but I think the wouns will heal okay.
:-(
🥰 Plants, plants and more plants!!!! There are never too many in my home! Welcome to my channel and my crazy and addictive world of plants!! I love growing any and all house plants, from Philos to Hoyas and Aroids, really unusual plants and even plants that eat bugs! You name it and it will probably strike my fancy. My favorites are trailing plants and plants with really cool and beautiful leaves. There's nothing like getting a small clipping and growing it to a beautiful addition to my collection in a year or two. I've been at it for about 40 years and I'm never going to stop!!!! I enjoy sharing my love of growling plants with anyone that will listen. HAHA!!! Please like and subscribe so you can join me on my journey. :-)

Just imagine 12 more of those Kerrii tentacles as long as yours and constantly pushing out new growth. My Kerrii is huge. She grows every time I water her.

I love it!!!!
My hoya kerrii is just like yours...huge leaves and those tough long growing points...I read that they grow like that until they can grab onto something..like the tree trunk they would be growing up...once they feel safe they will start producing new leaves...I gave more support, tied them up..and voila, new leaves and looking better than ever. I now make sure that I keep all my hoya tendrils nicely controlled...

Omiland you should see it now!! I'm doing a hoya update video soon. 😍
Alaska Fish Fertilizer has helped my Hoyas with new growth, makes me happy, none of other Fertilizers gave new growth. Ebsom Salts, Super Thrive, Medina Hasta grow.
Some large rocks would help anchor it on top of soil.

She's pretty old. At least 10 to 10 years. She had grown crazy fast since this repotting!!! 🤩😍
Wow!! I don't think I've ever seen such huge leaves on a hoya kerrii before. Is this some gigantic variety you purchased? The biggest leaves on mine are maybe the size of my palm. And I agree with you, repotting this plant was stressful. Although I did have a vine almost completely snap off once, but I was able to make a splint for it and it actually healed over just fine.

When I got it, the leaves were much smaller. But for some reason as it grew, they just continued to grow. Insane right?!?! I'm happy to report she's doing just fine!! 😍

Repotting huge Kerrii’s are always stressful. Fortunately I haven’t broken a stem during repotting BUT one did snap a little. I wrapped up the snapped area and allowed it to heal by posting the stem up against the trellis for support. Once he healed he shots out at 4 new thick stems from that snapped area. So it kind of worked in my favor because he looks even better than before.

Do research. It's a hoya. It doesn't need a bigger pot.
