It Was All Fun And Games Until This Happened

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hello friends and welcome to another fun episode of crazy bee fun with Yappy Beeman.
Today I met up with a great friend and fellow KZreadr, 628DirtRooster for some honeybee removal adventures. This colony of bees moved into a wall of a hunting camp house in South Alamaba, Roll Tide. They had been known to be there for about 2 year. I would like to thank them for choosing the removal option and not attempting to exterminate a beautiful beehive.
Temps during this removal were on the low side. Honeybees will forage at temps above 50'ish degrees. It was barely that when we started the process and the bees let us know real quick they weren't happy. Thankfully, the area we were working in does not have africanized genetics and the bees quickly settled back down to allow us to rehome them.
The rehome process consists of collecting the bees into a catch box that does not harm them, removing the comb they use to reproduce bees as well as store food. If the comb can be reused, it is placed in wooden frames and placed in a beehive. If not, they are given resources to rebuild in an apiary ( bee yard) out in the country away from future harm.
I was excited to have been able to catch and show the queen bee in this episode. Queen bees are a bit bigger and longer in body, as well as a little different in color. Without a queen, the hive can not reproduce and will surely die.
Thanks to all for checking out this video and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we had fun removing the bee infestation from the hunt camp.
Yappy Beeman is a professional bee remover performing live honey bee removals in Alabama as "Alabama Bee Rescue" and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has performed over 1000 live bee removals. Yappy with the help of his great friend and mentor; Jpthebeeman, a professional beekeeper , has learned many skills to remove bee swarms and honey bee colonies safely for the bees and homeowners alike.

I really enjoyed the parts where the two of you laughed in unison. I’m very sensitive to sounds, some sounds actually have the power to give me a feeling of sickness or physical discomfort but on the other hand certain sounds give me a rush of dopamine .. the sound of you two laughing in unison is one of those good sounds 💕 thanks for the dopamine boost

Were those a different kind of bees? They looked blue, like maybe they were those blue mason bees. Or maybe it was just the light and shadows tricking my eyes. Not so much as a pair of work gloves. Later in this video, some put on mesh bee hats to keep their faces safe. A friend wore a leather motorcycle suit (jacket, pants, gloves, boots & helmet) that worked great for protecting him while cutting a gigantic paper wasp nest from a neighborhood tree. Just needed a handkerchief to protect his neck between helmet and collar and rubber bands around the gauntlets. BTW, that large wasp/hornet nest was stuffed into a plastic bag, tied shut and placed in a large microwave oven to settle their hash.

That spider looks like a Kukulcania geophila! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kukulcania_geophila They're a type of crevice weaver. The most common kukulcania species is the southern house spider, k. hibernalis, so at first I thought it was one of those, but the white markings/hairs look like those of the k. geophilia. Curiosity consumed me, I had to know what kind of spider it was!

@@YappyBeeman Here's a bee video that shocked me. I've never seen bees act like this. Thought you might know why they are. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWigxtKyeaibpJc.html Also got to say that when you said you didn't want to kill that spider cause it might have relatives I busted up. Hadn't ever heard it put like that lol

Yappy I happened to come across your videos, but this one with you and Dirt was just a hoot! I couldn't stop laughing when you told him he wasn't tested for Covid. You guys just amaze me at how calm you are with the bees. Talking to them. Should have talked to that huge spider to see if it would roll over and expose it's belly to see if it had a orange hourglass on it. She mates, then she KILLS! LOL! So fascinating watching this, me of course is afraid of anything with a stinger. Lord knows I've been stung by yellowjackets and black hornets. Keep up the great work with our precious honeybees, I'm hooked on your videos.
