When I moved multiple times with teenagers (as a single mom) the rule was always they had to help unpack the common rooms they all used, kitchen, bathrooms & living room, if they used those rooms they needed to help & not sit on their phones or computers until they contributed to help the family! It only took a few days then things could go back to normal. Everybody pulled their weight.

Nobody likes the job but and everybody has better things to do ( including Danni) so yeah..when you have a household of 1 senior adult and 2 young adults… it’s kind of a given that it is everybody’s equal responsibility to “get ‘er done. “ Even if it’s not particularly fun. Lol

Your kids are both old enough to help. Each of you open one box per day for shared spaces and before you know it, you’ll be unpacked!

Noah could start unboxing kitchen boxes since he probably knows where he would like his utensils and kitchen arranged. Just an idea. Can't wait for all to be settled. Hugs

Danni I’m absolutely pleased at the way you are shopping and being selective I hope it helps to keep your days a little less crazy when processing your buys. Noah if you are the cook-in the house why not unpack the kitchen the way you want it and put items in places you prefer.

I liked the little wire birds. I think they're very cute! Since Noah is the cook in the family, if he has the time, he could get all the cookware put away so it's easily accessible to him while cooking.

Hi Danni. That picture of the children crossing the bridge is from a painting called Guardian Angel Watching Over Children on a Bridge. It's been around for a long time. I remember my dad had one hanging everywhere we lived, and in the later years he had prints made up for all of us kids. There are several different versions of it.

Dani, here’s an idea that I have seen in our local antique malls: a dedicated year roynd Christmas space; you would be surprised how many people collect Christmas and only Christmas. The space is sometimes 2 to 3 booths are set aside for this; they set up one or 2 really nice, about 5 foot tall, artificial Christmas trees, and the other booth owners can then price and put their name and booth number on the tag, and put Christmas items on shelves around the trees, or ornaments on the trees if they wish. That area is usually close to the register(s) so that people who buy exclusively Christmas items can get to it quickly and easily. Oh, and a point is made in advertisements and on the shops windows and on the road signage that these places have a dedicated year round Christmas area. Try it for a year; see how it works out.

I purchased the same V shaped bowl at gw several months ago. It's heavy like crystal. Has great clarity. But it isn't marked or signed. I love it also. It's been on my kitchen table filled with protein bars!

While I would have preferred to do something fun to decompress at the end of the day, I made it a goal to unpack 3 boxes each day. It was rewarding to accomplish the task. We all have different ways of working through things. Great video, Danni. It is so good to see you in your element of shopping and in better spirits.

Greetings from The Netherlands. Those sorts of Delft tiles are a dime a dozen and not big sellers. Mainly tourist items. Ter Steege is the supplier, not the manufacturer. That number on the bottom of that white Lotus bloom vase is likely a design/mold number used internally by the manufacturer.
