I collected the all of the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys in Hardtop. Years ago as a teenager I sold them all to my neighbor for his little girl. And had 100 pair of different kinds of shoelaces (I remember my oh shite and BULLSHITE ones big time-Wished I would had saved them along with a bunch of other things. I collected the weirdest stuff-For I liked to be different

I found a beautiful like new Coach bag in a dollar box. Gave to my daughter. She carried it for years

I always tell nice people at yardsales if they dont want to clean up whats left i will come get them, ive cleared out 3 yardsales the last few weeks

I have never heard anyone talk about Trixie Beldon or even know what that is. I have every Trixie Beldon book written, as far as I know, but mine ate from the 70's and paperback. When I stored them they looked brand new. I might have to pull them out and take a look at them. They were my favorite books (next to my Little House collection) and had the best stories when I was a kid.

At the sale with recipe cards right next was I think berries and such Mikasa cups and possibly plates. You can sell those as replacement cost for this set is pretty good ( I have the full set)

I would have looked at the Bobbsey Twins book with a dust jacket - it might have been old. If you ever find early Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew with the dust jacket, they are big $$$.

My son collects Pokemon cards. He takes the three or four good cards out and now we have soooo many boxes of cards stored. He needs to start selling.

I always check bills at yard sale. Especially if its a 1 dollar item and they hand me a 20 or even worse a 50.

I wouldn’t feel offended if someone checked my money at all, you can’t be too safe nowadays, especially out here where I live, I’m from Orange County southern Cali, can see knotts berry farm from my front yard, and it’s gotten so bad out here some stores and people even check $1 bills yes “one dollar bills how sad is that, sad too see how much everything is changed I wish I could be positive and say for the better , but unfortunately it’s not. I had someone give my girlfriend at our garage sale a counterfeit $100. Bill. I thought of all people to rip off you choose someone trying to make a few extra dollars at a garage sale 😢. We found out when she tried to use it at Sam’s Club😮. Sad.

There are stores that have signs up at the registers that they won't accept anything over a $20 and they still swipe it with the pen.

Someone paid me back money they owed me ($100) and I went to a casino to get change. It was counterfeit and I had casino security confiscate it and it was reported to the US secret service I think. It was some govt office. I was scared lol. Now I carry one of those markers in my purse.

My mother made ornaments like that, unfortunately only 2-3 have survived over the years

My 8 year old grandson tried to use a counterfeit $20 at a Santa secret shop at school!!
