I felt the same way. In the novel I was rooting for them cos the husband was such an annoying little shit. He didn't get any better in the drama. He's worst in the drama cos the actor who plays him never matched up to his "beauty" and was pouting all the time. Why Ye Zhao could love someone like that i never understood. Ye Zhao was loved by so many women as she was extremely handsome in the novel. The actress playing Ye Zhao I had no issue with because she actually looked more the part than I expected and carried her character pretty well. Hated the ending though, they nerfed Ye Zhao to make her husband look more heroic.

I feel the story and so sad but I can't stop laughing with her husband 😂😂 slap he's face 😅

When I'm crying but laughing at the same time

The cousin did pull off some crazy schemes but frankly this scene was so gratifying to watch. The way she pushed him away and said who wants you? 👏 yas 👏 queen! She said exactly what I had been screaming at my screen up till this moment. I spent the majority of the time watching this drama rolling my eyes at her unbearable husband who unequivocally was a disloyal whiny little bitch. I always felt he was no match for the general and she was far better than anything he deserved. What an incredible and powerful woman! She left her blood on the battlefield only to be matched with a spoiled little brat who never appreciated her beauty, grace, bravery, honor, loyalty, massive contributions towards her country and monumental frankly saint like patience towards him and his shitty enabling mother. She really bent over backwards trying to please his ungrateful ass. Now to be fair they tried to give him his “redemption” moments but by the time that eventually came around I was so beyond annoyed and exhausted from him I just had absolutely no love or empathy for his character in any way shape or form. The best way I could describe my feelings towards her husband... repulsion. I know he’s somebody’s type but good lord i can’t imagine who!

I really cannot say enough about these producers and I am so happy that Sheng Yilun was in both of the dramas. He also values knowledge. He played so many diverse roles for the experience. His great acting made the dramas so enjoyable and allowed messages like that to be packaged. The producers hinted about the importance of education here and in Go Princess Go, and about knowledge that one did not learn from books or in school; and the importance of how to apply the knowledge. This cousin did not know how to apply the knowledge she had learned from books, but she knew how to resort to her wiles to stir up trouble in the enemy’s family. It did the trick. That was probably what she had intended to do with Yujin and Ze Zhao until she realized that Yujin was not someone she could wrap around her finger. He knew too much about that kind of tricks women played.

I like these producers and how they packaged information into the story and made it fun to watch at the same time. This cousin did not do her home work and judged Yujin when she did not know Yujin at all and one wondered if she was so dead set against him because he was probably the only one in her life she was not able to wrap around her fingers. After all, she prided herself in her flower arrangements and Yujin practically insulted her on her skills. Besides, Minister Fan was good friends with Yujin and that was a great hint about Yujin’s true character the producers. Unlike Minister Hai, who married a woman out of the brothel, Yujin played around in the brothels to keep from having too many concubines.

It's a unique situation but reminds me of the time my best friend told me that she loves me. God I felt awful because I loved her but only as a friend. It took courage to tell her no.
