As an ike main, I've definitely had this happen to me and question my sanity. I now feel validated.

My best guess into the Diddy king assist trophy is that since the move already updates an item (in the game files it says that during the startup the banana gets updated) it can also update the state of the assist trophy. This would also explain why snake couldn’t activate it since he pulls out a non-item

I think I can explain the Diddy Kong trick. The thing is the banana has a hit box while other characters are being treated like an item. If Simon/Richter could do the same, it would confirm the suspicion.

@@willywakka7830 it's not Falco's clip that's the thing, the Falco lost blatantly, so the fact that it's "smart" that a music referencing a character in a way when that character didn't win doesn't make sense, it's just like a victory theme plays for the character that lost and not for the winner.

@@JoeyyFan96 I'm sorry, I just don't find that version of the projectile hype in 1v1 (minus ditto). In FFA/team attack, almost anyone is able to use it for stuff, which is where I'm ok with it. In 1v1, only the opponent can use it, in this form and usually has us at an even worse disadvantage which already isn't fun for me to watch, if it was balanced better for both sides and we didn't have a handicap for picking it up normally, I'd be less against it. Just being honest, I feel sad when I have to use it against KKR for how overtuned (imo) this handicap is.

Kazooie makes an item, but until it's grabbed it's treated as a projectile and doesn't move the trophy out of Banjo's hands. I'm guessing it has to do with Diddy putting the item in his hand first then tossing it?
