So I moved to Japan last year and I can finally understand why Mizuno uses chunky studs, a lot of their sales go to casual football players who play a lot of games on hard ground, the schools here don't have grass fields, they play on compacted dirt. That chunky stud pattern is perfect for HG, AG and the occasional FG surfaces so bladed studs make no sense to them.

When you spoke about hardcore Mizuno Neo fans may not like the changes in the tongue area...You know that there’s a standard Neo 3 version as well that comes with a standard tongue. Just a FYI.

I liked the neo 2 beta but the tongue was a bit annoying, and personally I like a tight padded fit in the heel, this boot has answered my questions and I’ve bought it!! Most expensive boots I’ve ever bought 😂

I find it hard to believe the best boot I have ever worn and consider perfect just became perfecter than perfect. I need these in my life

Mizuno is not a shoe I would normally buy but I can honestly say that these boots are probably the best boot as far as quality and durability over any other boot. Japan made are always the best!

What boots do you typically buy?

I absolutely love these. I can't wait to grab a pair. the insole is also treated with an anti-bacterial agent to keep the boots from gaining smell as easily.

Brian Okazaki that’s fair. I also have a pair of Morelia neos and love them to bits. But Yeah playing on turf might have an impact on the durability

I recently sold Neo’s to a friend after a few years of owning them. I loved them but I felt they weren’t quite as good my Nikes for fit or comfortable but still a very very good. These upgrades deal with all of my issues. Keen to try a pair.

It's a small thing but I think Mizuno should put a little bit of effort into the string bags

Interesting that there is no mention of the sole plate details, such as slightly different shape to hopefully address the weak point of the Neo II, or the removal of the front rivets. The weak point of the Neo II was the inside flex point, which would delaminate and eventually tear into the leather. On the Neo III boots I received the change the shape was immediately noticeable.

I wanna know is there a big difference between the Mizuno Morelia neo 3 that made in Japan and the one that doesn't made in Japan? Sorry if my English bad, I'm trying to find the difference 🙏

Hey Josh, this is a weird situation, but for some reason in Japan we don't have the Neo 3 beta available in stores. Instead, we have a normal model called Neo 3, which is also an improved version of Neo 2. Do you have any idea what's going on. Also will you be reviewing the normal Neo 3.

Mizuno releases different boots regionally. Give it a few weeks and I'm all of the variants will be available everywhere. That's just how they do things. No clue why?

The upper beats the Nike Tiempo! Mizuno could have an alternative stud pattern for this boot, which would be more aggressive. Amazing boots that I hope will be available in Brazil

Hey Josh. Been watching your channel for some years now. Love what you do man. Also I saw you once when I worked at Burloak's Nike Factory outlet. I wanted to give you props but I didn't wanna be that guy :) Anyway, I usually wear Nikes but I'm looking for a rebrand so I'm thinking to give these ones a go. I currently wear a 12.5 in the Hypervenom Phinish and the fit is perfect (healthily snug). So would you suggest going with a 12 in these ones?

it's kinda interesting that you feel like the Neos suffocate your midfoot because I love the Neos but have that exact issue with my vapors which I know you're a huge fan of. the vapors are more narrow right? does it just come down to shape?

Both fit tight, but the actual base of the Mercurials seems to be wider and the material wrapping your feet is more forgiving/pliable when compared to the synthetic leather of the Neo 2. They're also different in regards to overall shape. I personally feel more comfortable wearing a Vapor 13 Elite than I do a regular Morelia Neo 2.

Omg the adidas logo looks like a pyramid, nike logo looks like a check mark, and the puma logo looks like a cat. Wow sooooo interesting, but did we ask.

I doubt they would change the stud pattern or material in any of their cleats. Japan is known for their harsh/hard ground fields. They’re keeping to their heritage.

I think thin leather is the best barefoot feel you can get!

I just recently bought a pair of these exact cleats and I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on the mesh mid foot. I’ve only worn them twice so I can’t say for certain that the cleat just isn’t for me, but the mesh mid foot hurts the outside of my foot when I tie the laces tight. Is this just a matter of breaking them in, or is this just about as good as it’s gonna get ?

Josh, in Japan, they came out with Neo 3 with regular tongue but not sold anywhere else in the world, but where Neo 3 Beta is sold everywhere in the world but in Japan. On Neo 3, the material for the mid part is different with BF(Bare Foot) Leather which is thinner and softer comparing to the Neo 2. Do you happen to know why? Can you make the comparison video between the two? Thanks.

Mizuno likes to release their boots at different times in different regions. For now, this is what they've released Europe and the US. Will that change in the future, possibly.

Soccer Reviews For You Interesting, I watched an interview video with the Mizuno product leader for football shoes (I’m Japanese) and he said that Mizuno didn’t want to go all knit for Neo 3 but obviously not the case in EU/US market. BTW, I like your shoe laces. I have them on my every boots!
