'It shall never be well with you!' The words of my mother-in-law. Soon after, my marriage broke

Esther met her husband while she was studying in South Africa. They fell in love, moved in together and soon, they were expecting a child. Esther says that her husband truly loved her, showered her with money and anything she needed. She felt like a queen. However, their bliss would only last for a while. According to Esther, her mother-in-law interfered with her marriage so much.
At one point, she uttered words that Esther still remembers to-date: IT SHALL NEVER BE WELL WITH YOU. Soon after, their marriage broke and she returned to Kenya. Here is her story

Ladies, when you meet in a foreign land with a man dont ever rely on him. First of all we leave our own country with mission. Its okay to get married but please be your own boss. It's your family that escorted you to the airport in the first place and let them always wait for you when you get back. My thoughts though.

I loved my in laws to bits and supported them alot financially. The moment my husband died, they all turned against me and wanted our property which we had bought with my late husband. They were in for a very rude shock! The property was in our both names! That's some inlaws for you.

I am a single mom to a young man in his teens. I love listening to these stories because they help me introspect on my relationship with my son. I know how mothers and sons are close, and for single moms, sometimes it's unhealthy. So such stories keep me in check. I also learned about keeping healthy boundaries with him. He is my son and a son! When he gets a wife, our relationship must adjust, and as a mom, I am working day and night to learn my position! Wamama, let's learn!

Monica thanks for what you do. But at times we don't get the s. ory as it should be. Could you include her journey after she landed in Kenya to-date? Thanks.
