A splash that quick and small shouldn't have caused that! It wasn't like it was submerged in water for it to bypass the seal. But if that's all it takes, it ain't really fit for purpose as a motocross bike ??? As a motocross bike, practically goes across most terrains. I'll let you make your own mind up on that! Nevertheless, it's still an awesome bit of kit!

@@thercstore. you did a slow a** u-turn and leaned into that same side watch it again. Nobody else on youtube has gone that slow thru water and lean on its side like that. I do agree it should be sealed up better but its not a waterproof bike and Motorcross is for dirt bashing and not going through ponds and making slow u-turns lol

@OGPAPERBOY77 Thank you for the reply. However, it seems we are not the only ones with the issue. It has come to light that a few people have had this issue and are currently speaking to dealers to get their bikes fixed. But note taken! Thank you once again.

@OGPAPERBOY77 Thank you! Already fixed !, video was released Friday of the full tear down and repair.

You need to put it in the the offroad mode (one beep or blink) and turn the AVC MS6X Lean adjustment knob all the way to the right + side in order to jump without doing a front flip. Otherwise it will always nose dive or front flip. Another tip is to put a zip/cable tie around the servo saver spring ring to prevent impact wobble when landing or high speed wobble. My battery started sparking almost caught on fire on a high jump. The case pinched the wires when landing. I opened up the hole where the battery wires come through in order for it not to happen again. My Brand new speed run onyx battery is toast 😢😂 Subscribed.

Brilliant video

Water might have had something to do with it but I think running it on grass was the culprit. The motor needs to work so much harder on grassy surfaces that I'm sure it overheated the motor.

We found and resolved the issue. It seems to be a common with the stator. We have created a video showing the culprit and fully repaired the promoto! Thank you for watching the video. Ecs is fine! There are no issues there. The new video will be out tear down and fix.

if the ESC is ok , i wonder 🤔 , if the flywheel or the cog on the motor somehow possibly got dislodged somehow , and then rubbed against the inside plastics , then the friction against the plastic may have caused the plastic to burn . Unless there is another part inside the chassis that friction burned and smoked the plastics , or maybe even a hot wire inside dislodged and burned and smoked the plastics 🤔

The seal wasn't installed correctly from the factory, allowing water to get in.

Just watched Aussie RC Playground launching the crap out of his and it held up really well for him. I was surprised how well it did with air control. Guessing the gyro motor died or whatever powers the gyro died for some unrelated reason.

The fault was the stator. It seems it has had water damage. This seems to be due to seal failure. We have done a video on our findings and carried out a full tear down and repair! Check out the video. Thank you for the support it's really appreciated!

@@thercstore.Kind of surprised water would do anything to a brushless motor, other than mess up bearings. Kind of wonder what's in that aluminum housing of the "stator". It might have it's own ESC built in there. Water might annoy that if it's not conformal coated. Can the old dead stator come apart to see?

@olds97lss the brushes on the old stator are burnt-out. We have done a video on it showing the damage. The rubber seal that sits between the housing wasn't seated correctly from the factory, or it's just a weak seal.

No issues with support whatsoever! We sent them all the detailed pictures of the tear down and what we found. They agreed it looks like it's a failed seal and sent us the new stator under warranty. Great service to be fair!

Hi guy's. Sad day. Got my promoto on Christmas day. Used two packs yesterday and two to day, both outings on a muddy football pitch.. As the second battery came to the end, i lifted it on its stand and pressed the flywheel brake. It started to slow down and then there was a tone change and a puff of smoke. No standing water on the field just muddy. 4 packs in total and its toast. What's the procedure of getting this sorted please.. Do i go to the hobby store where i got it from or straight to horizon hobbies? Thanks guys. Gutted

@MarkJones-re3po such a shame, especially with the cost of these. Take it back to your retailer you purchased it from with your proof of purchase. They will send it to the UK distributor, and they will check it over. If it's a warranty claim, it will be repaired and sent back. Let us know how you get on.

Quality control, i have seen this be sent higher with landings on hard dirt.

Really appreciate the comment. I think it's more to do with the tech in the bike than me. But it was the 2nd time I've run it.
