DA should also address the race and land issue. One black man essentially say it was better under Apartheid because forefathers had jobs. Sickening Just full his belly he has no plans for the future.

You have anything to say how ANC destructive governance is destroying the future of our youth and destroying SA day by day.. You either a foreigner with blinkers on about what is happening in Africa or you just have your head in the clouds. ANC governance is making Apartheid(for those of us who lived under Apartheid) look like a better option. Sickening as it is too you, I second that guy, we were better off before this corrupt ANC governance.

But the reality that people are leaving under is scary. DA has failed Western Cape. They brag about Cape Town the City when they are actually running the whole province. DA is hiding behind the glamorous part of the city. Which reminds me of apartheid government who only cared about specific individuals the minority and use that work as a proof of progress while in reality the majority is suffering and has no access to what a country can offer. I don't mind when the majority of white SAs support DA, it's doing a great job to favour them and catering for each one of their needs. I don't hear a plan for DA to uplift the rural areas that accommodate the majority of SAs. It's all about cities, so then again black people will be left out from the progress. Vote for your DA but don't convince black people to do the same coz black people never tried to convince y'all to vote for black parties. Before you say it, obviously we're living in a black and white country, thanks to white people for the division

As a black guy, I've also seen a pattern when there are debates and certain people are losing argument or something. They always resort to race. It's almost like the last point of attack when they see that they're wrong. So yeah, it's expected but I feel like people are waking up and starting to see the stupidity and childish immaturity behind that strategy.

We, the people of Cape Town do not agree with the African lady of the DA. As Capetonians, we compare the DA performance over it's 15yrs rule in our province to the Apartheid government. Most of us in the Western Cape, we were better of than what we have right now. Service delivery was by far better than what we have today. Remem er, Cape Tiwn is one of the economuc hubs in South Africa. In other words, we are not a rural area, the metro has uge revenue collection compare to many metros in the country. However, the apartheid gov. build more houses than the DA. Apartheid gov. gave the people better and quality 4room matchbox houses than the DA. I can go on and on. We compare the DA not to the bad performing dude but to the worst gov. Africa has ever seen (the Apartheid). However, the Apartheid gov. gave South African townships more and better than any other government post 1994.

Coalition could be a transition period, I hate the this narrative that the coalition is the way for South African politics. I believe like in stock market, the instrument may go up for while and will come down gradually and there is a period that it will look stagnant for a while before it gathers strength to go up or down. The ANC is gradually going down and the shape of opposition is not yet convincing enough for the people to buy in one of them as the replacement of the ANC for now. It is the work of the political parties to look at what the majority of our people want and need, instead of assigning them what the party need or want. The ANC was the choice due to the fact that it pretended that to be with the masses whilst it was looking after its best interest. Unless a political party breaks the code and stop feeding its resolutions and policies that are not in line with the masses then we will remain longer in the coalition, however, one day a people’s party will break the code and the coalition will be on the opposition only, or die out, until that party fails again.

Is talking about, and calculating race not racist? If someone has a different pigmentation and is judged because of it, as is the case of Caucasians who have colonized, altered the cultures of the societies they occupied, and inhabited those communities, thus becoming part of it. Are they then still regarded as colonists hundreds of years later? If you continue to remind fellow citizens of the sins of their ancestors, how can that heal the wounds of the past, and build bridges in the present, and into the future?
