I been playing ken/ ryu but just picked up Luke. I think he’s really fun/good. ken is top tier but Luke feels right up there just in a different way. Less gimmicks, but just super solid.. everything. Buttons, damage, amazing supers, fireball is super good too. Doesn’t seem to have any terrible matchups. The one thing that sucks is how hard consistent perfect knuckles are. It’s not something that just applies to non competitive players. So many top / pro Luke’s lose games because of a single missed perfect Shit Mena lost to kakeru at gamer 8, final game final round and mena drops a perfect. This leads to him getting level 3 supered, loses health lead and drive gauge lead. Loses set, and a huge chunk of $ Super fun character other than that tho

I hear you, It took me awhile to get my perfect knuckle timing down but it's pretty solid now. So many options, and like you said no real terrible matchups, just a good solid all around character. @@howdydoodydoo3631

@@howdydoodydoo3631 yeah, it feels like a lot of Luke haters don't realize that while his gameplan seems simple and his damage is high, to get to that point you need a lot of practice, the ability to stay calm and to pick the best option. He also doesn't have a neutral skip special and you can't really autopilot with him, you either whiff punish or get whiff punished.

15:51 - Was rooting for Punk throughout but I have to say that was one sweet Ken combo.

@Apocalypse754 Yes, that is what I am saying Luke has much better oki than Ryu, and you can punish people with Level 1 or Level 3 at a good range. I had several matches where people try to do range attack on my wake up, and then I just do wake up Level 1 or Level 3, like it's so easy
