It’s Time To Start Creep Feeding

Ойын-сауық

In this video we set up our home made creep feeder. The kid goats are range from a month to a week old now and are starting to get interested in grain. We like to set up our feeder early to help prevent from over eating. We also put out some old hay to try use the seed in it. If the goats don't eat it will become food for the soil. Lastly we put Corid into the water to help with and high coccidia loads we may have. With warm humid weather if not controlled this can become a big problem quickly.

Smart idea putting the old hay on bare spots. Is that ryegrass or grain rye you grow in the pasture?

Do your goats ever refuse to drink their water when you put the Corid in it? My goats are so picky that I have to drench each one by hand for 5 days, thankfully I don't have too many. Your does don't try to push over the creep feeder fencing to try to get to the grain?

They do try to get into the creep feeder some but they never get in and I’ve never really had a problem with water consumption
