It's getting real bringing our girl home. I've been working so damn hard towards this and am grateful for Anker partnering up which enabled me to purchase the panels to give Gracie adequate space. Be sure to click here ( ankerfast.club/xsfhqo ) to head over and check out Anker today xx.

Who puts a bed in the barn so they can sleep with their horse? Rachel does, of course.❤ Horses are majestic beings and I am confident that Gracie will love her forever home. Because of the loving energy you have put into creating this space for her is amazing.🐴❤🌺

Oh my gosh i never clicked so fast. Horses are such wonderul companions. I love the way they smell, warm and sweet. They live long lives so you bond with them and they with you in a unique way. Healing is coming. As Will Rogers say nothing so good for the inside of a person as the outside of a horse. Rachel you’re making your goals come true and I’m here for it.

I just have to say - as someone who struggles with depression and anxiety myself- this channel of yours and your videos have become such a safe space for me.. you don’t even understand! It’s peace, it’s happiness and it’s accepting yourself and be beautifully broken. And I have been watching since you build that concrete vanity in your ex boyfriends house (maybe even before that) - I never would have thought that we would be here now But I’m so glad we are. Respectfully in the best way- you are a beautiful desaster ❤ and it helps me come to terms with me not being perfect So THANK YOU ❤ I’m rooting for you to get your girl home 💯

God! I can relate to so much you share about being stuck - paralyzed by perfection etc. You are so lucky to be so close to nature (even if it is the desert - lol!) at least it's outside!! I'm up on the 3rd floor of a walkup in suburbia & I cannot make it out. I know that doesn't sound like a lot - but to me it might as well be 40 floors up! I'm grateful to have shelter & food. And good physical health (I know that's everything) as far as I know. No working vehicle right now & no laundry in 2 years (cuz that's another flight down) now a depression room w/a moth infestation. I really can't figure out why it's even worth it anymore? I really can't. I know there are so, so many that have devastating situations & horrific life situations - so I try to have perspective & be grateful. I still can't seem to find a way out of my apt or out of my head. Depression meds - no go after decades. Looking into alt solutions but money, transpo, effort. That all takes energy & don't have it. I've been trying to work TM & it does make a space for some forward movement. I'm just tired. Anyway, sorry to be so whiny - I just - I can relate to much of what you share Rachel. I've always heard Equine therapy is such Incredible medicine it's so nice that you have Gracie & will be bringing her home to her family w/your other fur & non human babies!! Though I know things are scary as shit when you can't always count on your emotional energy availability - but you will feed each other in that respect I imagine - which is just Wonderful!! You are so right - doing things in chunks & allowing things to breath & lead us to the next is a healthy way to live. Freedom from the mind is what I'm trying to achieve - just to be where my feet are. One day I feel hopeful, the next day I'm trying to figure out the most quick & pain free way to end it. I know we are all just out here trying to get by one day at a time. I feel that the Pandemic & of course other things have added this heavy layer of energy over our world - I feel so much for all of my human brothers & sisters & wish we could all feel better. Much love & power to you sister!! 💖💫💪

Love that you saved the original barn! It’s full of character and you can maintain that history while adding your own twist to it. Lots of progress. The barn couch reminds me of how I really want a porch couch some day. When my parents upgraded their old couches they had them on their deck for a few days when I was young and I had the best time napping and reading books outside.

Hello Rachel. First of all, congratulations on what you have done and for sharing, especially, the hardest parts of the process. I remembered something, I remember seeing in your videos, in the past, your drawings, of your projects, with the idea... and I have the idea that you stopped doing this. Maybe it's for decorating a bedroom, a living room... it doesn't matter if it looks really bad and then you have to redo it. But in this case, where you are going to receive a being for life, it might not be a bad idea to go back to the drawings, the project, before starting the works. It's an idea. Huge kisses.

@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz i hear you, but it does not change the fact that a horse needs a companion, they are heard animals and science has shown that after only 30min without another horse's company stress levels increase.

In MY barn? Yes I did 🥰 it's been sitting in a trailer abandoned for two years. Trust the process of the makeover though 🙏🏼 even if it isn't ideal for YOUR barn

I'm getting kind of tired hearing "do I deserve Gracie and what not" why would'nt you? Are you a good person with the best intention and a good heart? Probably yeah! So stop telling yourself you don't deserve things in life. Non of us are perfect. We all feel like crappy, shitty and worthless people sometimes but that does'nt mean we don't deserve what makes us happy.Start telling yourself you deserve to be happy and you will be. ❤

@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz I don't know what you have been through and I'm in no way trying to minimize it. Things are always easier said than done. I myself have been through hell and it has damaged me for sure, but whatever life has put us through, it is possible to learn new ways of thinking to handle the pain, the worry and the struggle. I do go dark sometimes, but I'm still trying to strive forward. Whatever happened to you Rachel, you deserve Gracie, your friends, success, happiness and so on, you dooo!!! Remember that ❤️

What I noticed while you build this and prepare for the sweet girls barn is that I can see you healing. ❤️‍🩹🥹 like as if your getting a light brighter than before, the way you speak about her is just so rad and beautiful. The in all the preparations the cost, sweat, time ,dedication of each piece of wood, cuts, screws. She is going to love you even beyond because she can feel how much love and work you have done to make her feel home. Woohoo so excited for you!!!!!!
