It's the small things that makes us happy!

It was a day, like only a few have been this spring. Sun was out, no clouds were shadowing the earth. Our little front garden was breathing the warmth of the sun making each flower smile and shine. I couldn't resist, so I went and picked a few to use for this week's press. Our garden is not very big, and the variety of flowers is still to increase, with many seeds that we have planted this spring, but I am always very glad when i see it changing, week after week.
And then it's time to arrange the flowers in the press. Each one is carefully laid on the paper so that each petal is straight, to lead to a better result.
It is such a calming and relaxing process, exactly what is needed after a chaotic day. Many of the things that I do in life I feel obliged to do, these being mandatory to have a better life. With this hobby, however, I never feel when the time is passing. Sometimes it can be few hours spent on filling the presses or working on a piece of art works with the pressed ones, but I'm never rushed and I genuinely enjoy each part of it. I don't have to do it, I want to, and I think it's because of that, that I enjoy it so much.
Such a fulfilling feeling when you get to the last flower and realise you've got a new press to look forward to open in few weeks time, full of lovely flowers that will either look the same or will embrace new special colours.
I belive this is the beauty of doing the things that you like and enjoy doing!
