Ойындар

This Human bronze player has a plan, it might not be the most sophisticated and macro intensive scheme in the world, but it's simple: Kill the Cryptlord... except, this is going to be a bit harder than he probably anticipated.

I like watching this series because when I played WC3 originally I was incredibly young, and didn't really understand how RTS games worked very well. I thought along the lines of massing an army of units that are expensive, didn't really think about what countered what, and would buy heroes that I thought were coolest like Warden or Crypt Lord. Best armies in my mind was something like a Cryptlord with 3/3 Frost Wyrms because they're strong, can hit air and ground, and can fly! What is better! While it is undeniable that you could actually learn how to play, and the largest barrier was that I was a silly kid, the era reminds me of gaming back when you had to figure stuff out for yourself a lot more. That you could only really learn through watching others and asking in a lot more intimate ways than through reddit posts or guides online from clean hubs instead of some weirdo individually hosted sites with a bunch of nonsense on it and some good tips interspersed. Nobody really knew what the hell we were doing in my friends group. I miss it a lot, and while it is cool to see where the scene is now for all competitive games and how far the scene has come and the mastery people have, I will still always feel the most kinship with someone who just buys a Crypt Lord because he looks cool.

I wonder if it wouldn't be possible for someone to create a course to online play using the map editor. Also, it might help to have AI capable of imitating online matches to ease new players into the game and let them test things out without the pressure of having to go up against a real person. I always felt there was more it could be done with the AI. The one in WC3, even on insane, it's kinda of braindead. Then again, if new players would learn the game "offline" before entering online matches we wouldn't have series like this anymore. Also, look at me talking about a 20+ years old game as if it was just released yesterday.

I'm practicing vs AI right now and it does things like building Ancient of War in a place where units cannot get out of the base, and uprooting is never on its mind to fix this. Or having its expansion canceled a few times in a row, only to decide it must be safest to build that Great Hall next to the fortress in the main base instead. Makes for some funny but disappointing moments.

I am right now playing on around 1300-1400 mmr and was wondering if you also could go for some casting on this mmr-range, since i think many of us would benefit from it (maybe not so funny but informativ), maybe something like Silver Leauge Savages or Gold Leauge Gladiators? Anyway, Keep it up man!

I am curious to why people would choose to have only 1 hero rather than multiple? Also really loving the drastic difference and breakdowns of bronze level play comparative to meta high elo strategies.

he explains it sometimes, exp gets spread between 2 or 3 if you don't control the distance while creeping making it slower overall, plus it's easier to micro having only to focus on 1 or 2 heroes instead of 3, they also make easy targets for enemy players if they are low levels... games may not last long enough for them to reach significant levels. then there's the simple fact u need tier 3 to have 3 heroes and u may not need it for the units ur producing plus it costs a lot and takes long... so many factors to consider...

The rest of it? The "mid game" where most of the game plays out? No idea. If I think it gets me to end game I'll build it when I can so I dont forget it later on and dont have what I need to get that army."
