"It's Said To Be UNTREATABLE!" | Judge Rules Nottingham Killer Sentence "Not Unduly Lenient"
The families of the victims of the Nottingham attacks have said they “face their own life sentence” of ensuring Valdo Calocane “is never released” after the Court of Appeal ruled his sentence was not “unduly lenient”.
The relatives of Barnaby Webber, Grace O’Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates reiterated their calls for a public inquiry into the attacks in Nottingham last June, with the mother of Mr Webber claiming that Calocane should become “the next Ian Brady and Fred West” by never being released from custody.
Three senior judges ruled on Tuesday that Calocane’s indefinite hospital order was “not arguably unduly lenient”, stating the court could not ignore medical evidence related to Calocane’s paranoid schizophrenia.

Having a death penalty means accepting that innocent people will be killed because of mistrials. That's unacceptable

@@rb1062 I have no qualms that my taxes pay for the care of the mentally ill or those with physical ailments. The same with regards to the police and prison service, education etc. Your point may only be of some relevance if Valdo Calocane should not have been in the UK.
Funny that he WARNED his brother to leave the day before and there was NO toxocology AND THE POLICE AND THE COURTS DIDNT CARE WHEN THEY LET HIM GO BEFORE THIS HAPPENED
Mr. Spence says the victims' families can't look at the sentencing of this *THING* objectively. I am not related to the victims, I never met them. Objectively speaking, lock him up for life.
Valdo Calocane will be detained at a mental hospital with a restriction - he can never be released without Home Office intervention.

Yes indefinitely detained. so he's he could get out anytime. But least 15 years
we used to lock people up, for having a fews loose bolts

Theoretically, Valdo Calocane can apply to be released, before a specialist medical and legal tribunal. However, the Home Office must always be involved with such matters and it's highly unlikely he will be released. Mentally ill people, of this type, cannot be cared for in the prison system. He'd be an even greater danger to staff and inmates in prison and there would not be specialist psychiatric staff to monitor and medicate him.

This judgement on Appeal has got to be as crazy as Calocane because nothing is untreatable. Why do I say this? Because clinical science has not yet progressed to the answer, but will sometime in the future.
While he is under medical care and medication is administered by the hospital Once released their is no supervision to ensure he will take this medication as prescribed Resulting in a relapse with serious consequences to the public So a bit of a dilemma for all concerned Do they release him knowing he is still a possible danger to all Or keep him under Psychiatric care under Lock and Key If so for how long without any chance of freedom I ask you reading this What would you do if you had to make the decision
