Many of the so-called intellectuals invited to TV Station don’t even know what the issue regarding Fuel Subsidy is. I live in Britain and Fuel is not in any subsidised here. Fuel is a lot more expensive here compared Nigeria, but the obvious difference is that Fuel is abundantly available in every nook and cranny of Britain as a result of functioning refineries. Why is there subsidy in the first place? Is it not because of the deliberate sabotage of the three potential National Refinery, which the useless Nigeria Media Practitioners has consistently failed to ask questions about? Where in the world a country that has crude oil takes its crude away for refining while her fineries are left in comatose and moribund?

Ogbeni keep quiet if you don't know what to say! You buy fuel ⛽ for £1+ and you are comparing it with Nigeria? Why didn't you compare your salary with what people in Nigeria are earning? I leave in Europe too some I know how much it costs for fuel.

Fit your mind you have spoken English abi? You think say you make sense? Convert the price of a liter of gasoline in the UK to a percentage of the minimum wage in the UK, the convert the price of fuel per liter in Nigeria to a percentage of the minimum wage in Nigeria, and see the situation.

Well said and written. Fuel should be very cheap and readily available in nigeria but for the fact that the media and labour are not asking why refineries are not working. Who is the big elephant in the room that has reduced nigeria oil wealth to this subsidy this, subsidy that? Even the so called dangote refinery is said to import crude oil. Its about time nigeria media and journalist stop sitting in a panel and keep inviting people who dont know whats going on. Where has investigative journalism gone to since the era of the days of Dele Giwa!!!

Just listen to yourself. But the UK spends on farming subsidizes, they spend on energy subsidizes, they subsidize the automotive sector, the aerospace sector and other areas. Are you aware that there is fuel subsidy in the USA. Even saudi arabia spends on fuel subsidy. What of Russia, China, Japan etc. You are not talking about reduction in government spending all you support is the removal of fuel subsidy, now we are buying fuel at 1,000 naira in some places with long queues.

@geraldejikeme3356, I respectfully disagree with your statement. It is important to acknowledge that not all professors exhibit the same characteristics. There are individuals within the academic community who uphold strong moral values and integrity, and it is my personal goal to emulate these qualities. Regarding the assertion that elections are rigged, I believe it is crucial to substantiate such claims with verifiable evidence and factual documentation. Can you provide any concrete proof to support your argument? Specifically, do you have any evidence to demonstrate that professors have engaged in election rigging? Furthermore, it is worth noting that politicians, by nature, are often viewed with skepticism due to the nature of their profession. It is important to approach discussions on this topic with a critical mindset and rely on factual information to form opinions.Thank you for engaging in this dialogue.

His postulation has nothing to do for regional sentiment here. Try to be reasonable inlieu of being chronic bigot and slave of sentiment. Does he here applauds Buhari or APC PDP saga? Nigeria is bleeding everywhere in the country. Buhari was trapped by the super power countries so also Tinibu. Even though the Northern elites and rulers for the pass 50 years have really destroyed Nigeria and ruled "mediocritically'' such to say, and loyalist of the Europian and white supremacy that was why colonialism fully succeeded in the north than the little informed south. He did not respond to the question of Obi's opinion on cybersecurity but instead preferred to lump all of them together on fuel subsidy. Most Nigerians agree on fuel subsidy, but the removal method may differ. Tinubu did not put anything on the ground to cushion the effects of the removal of the subsidy, Past governments, from IBB and Abacha to Jonathan, put things in place to cushion the effect. All Tinubu does is tax, tax, tax, and more tax, and then waste money on the judiciary, legislature, and the inner circles of his government.
