James is feeling exceedingly autumnal now that fall is finally upon us. Then Steve graces us with a groovy news jingle as James dives into the news of the day including an Elton John concert at the White House this coming weekend. Then things go fully off the rails when a story about a truck-powered vasectomy sends us into a segment that is straight out of one of Nick Bernstein's nightmares.

I would buy an (obsolete) dvd of Steve and the band performing EVERY opening jingle for the news. AND I’d put it in my dvd (also obsolete) player to watch it, more often than I care to admit. I 💜Steve SO MUCH

This is the only late show intro segment I watch because it just feels like you're catching up with friends. The rest are all so political. This is a smidge of politics and then just pure fun! Keep it up guys! 💯

Agreed! I noticed that too a while back and realized that was one of the reasons I was only catching up with this show and NONE of the other Late night shows. Not that they're doing anything wrong per-say I'm just not entertained by the constant late night political barrage. This show touches on it and then moves along to other topics. It's perfect.
Just the idea that this is going to end depresses me deeply. These monologues are a breath of fresh in my life. There will be a deep void in our lives when this ends.
We love you Nick! Hang in there, everything will be all right! 🤣

I was listening to Trevor Moore's Drunk Texts to myself ft. Reggie Watts and I never ride my bike without my Nebo Slim clip-on and then I turn this on and hear Reg validating my pocket light? Great minds indeed.
When he started to do the tundra commercial voice, he immediately reminded me of the guy from donut media. MORE POWAH
