GTJ is 6'4.50 barefoot... 6'5 in shoes. He's taller than both Bruce Brown and Ja'Kobe Walter. GTJ averaged over 1 steal per game as well. GTJ led the NBA is wide open 3fg percentage at 51.3%, shot 43% on catch and shoot 3s, as well as 39% overall on 3fg.

The signs was all over the place when the Raptors brought in Ja'kobe walter, Jamal Shead and Davon Mitchell... that in combination with Gradey Dick and Ochai means that Gary Trent is redundant and the raps have already moved on from him. His Agent should have started looking for other teams to sign him like a month ago and this will cost him the bag. Either that or they should have worked with the team for a sign and trade.

Tough spot for Gary. He clearly enjoyed being a Raptor and is a great if streaky player, but I think he'll end up regretting playing the free agency field. He's going to get lost in the mix. Hopefully he won't end up on a team full of primadonnas and end up irrelevant, but I guess we'll see. Wish him good luck.

Last year he looked miserable, every other year I think he loved it, last year he was off I could tell he was probably out the door

It's a loss, though. Nobody on the team currently replaces what he does at GTJ's efficiency. Hopefully, the new guys improve quickly.

Also, Gradey has already showed that he can be a great finisher around the rim and has a solid feel for the game at his age, something Trent has always struggled in. If he can be a consistent 37-38% shooter from deep, he already is better than Trent.

RJ needs to improve his free-throw shooting. His shot looks good but gotta connect on more than 60%

If GTJ won’t give us that defense we saw from him in year two with raptors, then we have no use for him.

If Ja Kobe can be a legit 2 RJ can play the 3. I like what the raptors are doing. Ja Kobe is going to take a couple seasons to get is legs and 3 ball right. I want to get the best out of Scottie he needs a 3 and Starting Big. Raptors have so many assets I know we are going to make a trade before the deadline. Raptors bench is going to be amazing.

Gary trent fumbled his bag with the raptors 18.5 mill is alot of money per year so for him to ask for 25 mill is crazy when he wasn't consistent with his game in the last few years.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say GTJ would have been a more valuable trade asset -younger, better stats, more potential. BB is a soon to be 28 year old veteran with a career average of 9 points a game. Gary might not be well rounded, but he can go off for 30 and win games - he just ne a place where he will be given the opportunity to start or get like at least 25,,30 mins a night.
