Fifa and UEFA are as bad and greedy as the owners, actually rven worse because the owners at least put their money into the club but the burecrauts only profit and do nothing, they are parasites to football. The format of the Ucl is great and should be preserved, but that doesnt mean that uefa has any kind of merit on that just because they rule this monopoly, we dont need UEFA and FIFA at all!

Good on him. Everyone should be held accountable. The ESL has its obvious flaws. But that’s not because the other leagues and federations are pristine. They’re far from it. This harsh reaction to the ESL proposal should not end when then things inevitably get resolved, it should be carried over to these other major bodies and used as a tool to hold them accountable as well.

Cruyff managed Barca from 1988-1996. Pep played for Barca from 1990-2001. You can see the overlap. Not to mention Cruyff managed Catalonia from 2009-2013. That's a big deal because not many world class managers would go there (Catalonia is not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA). And the region has been wanting independence for a long time now. (Pep also played for Catalonia). So I think the respect runs deeper than just football.

And it'll end up killing the league because the esl teams are going to be fielding their kids not caring about results on the weekend becuase they're facing barca midweek and juve the week after and they are the matches that would bring them more revenue. If they aren't kicked out of the premier league they'll leave eventually on their own because it won't be worth the hassle, especially after the next broadcasting deals are terrible because the market for a premier league with 6 teams in a competition they care more about is worth less.
