What's even crazier is that this is first Marvel vs Capcom will be on a Nintendo platform, and the same one that has Super Smash Bros Ultimate (and also got 3rd Strike on the Street Fighter collection), so taking all that into account...what a time to be alive!

A bit of info you might find intriguing: Apparently on the website where they break down everything in the game, Capcom seems to be calling this a part of the "Capcom Collection series" or something similar. So that means you might just get that sooner than later, especially if people buy this collection and show Capcom they want the classics rereleased in these collections. Sooo... I'm hoping for you too! 😊

My Dad and I used to play MvC Clash of Super Heroes in the arcade. Megaman and War Machine's supers were always so much fun to me! :D

The FreeMvC2 thing become more than a success, it went overboard as it came with the great package of having it's prequels... and also The Punisher I guess, while the collection is not a Switch exclusive, Nintendo took the edge over Sony and PC scene for revealing the return of the games later this year (yeah... once again Xbox getting axed... just like what happened with the MegaMan Battle Network Legacy Collection). Edit: Would have been fun they had added the ability to have Ps1 EX Edition stuff on X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Street Fighter and Marvel Vs Capcom, and by that is the ability to mix the supers... something that inspired the MvC2 and later games delayed Hyper Combos, this collection is nostalgia at it's finest for my siblings and cousins. Edit 2: Sadly no cross-play, but hopefully (and at least Ps4/5 and PC versions, as Switch would be a harder time) in an update they can fix that, or probably before the actual release.

Holy shit... you will not believe who worked on The Punisher's soundtrack. YOKO SHIMOMURA! I just found this out. But wow. Thank you, Shimomura-san. And upon reflection, some of that game's music DOES have that Shimomura style to it. And of course it'd be in this collection. It's only _the first ever collab between Capcom and Marvel, predating COTA by 1 year._

A relisting of MVC2 and making it Backwards Compatible with the XBOX360 successor consoles might do the trick.

When Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection comes out... I will literally be playing it for hours (especially Marvel vs. Capcom 2).

I can't believe we are finally able to play MVC 2 on modern consoles 24 years later 13 year old me in the early 2000s was excited for this and now 24 years later I'm reliving my childhood this game is such a legendary game I can't wait

NGL....heavily thinking of double dipping on this to get the PS4 version and Switch version, that way I can play at home and the Switch version can go with me when I go on vacation.

Because the X-men 1991 beat em up game is made by Konami, not Capcom. The Punisher is Capcom’s 1st marvel licensed game

Xbox users are angry for not having this on their consoles... But I think this is the reason why you shouldn't just have one favorite console and have several (except Sony and their Playstations, because they are HORRIBLE, just like that the deals they have with their users are HORRIBLE) to enjoy it to the fullest.
