Indeed, it’s not a gay movie. It’s film about love and longing and loss. A beautiful story.

You never get over a broken 💔, EVER! The main reason is that you never can truly forget the one who broke it to begin with.

I know it's easier said than done but try to do the things that the narrator of this video said in the video. Time, compassion for oneself, forgiveness to the one who hurt you, journaling, therapy and creative expression and emotional outlet and support can help you heal your broken heart. God speed to your healing. Namaste. ❤

THANKS FOR HEART WARMING ADVICES, this movie is really means a lot to me, because I've been there in a situation like this way back in August 2019 - June 2020 in Manila. Me and my co-worker built a strong secret relationship same to jack and ennis. A lot of things we have done.. until we separated due to Covid pandemic. And now though we still have a contract to each other, we haven't meet again because me as a good friend I don't want to ruin his married life. But I admit I really miss Gad diaz I really love him.

Great analysis, yea the yearning is what gets you in this movie, then deep loss. I felt hollow after watching it, but I love this movie. I think he ultimately learns to show his love toward his daughter because of his love for Jack. Thank you so much for this video.

Yeah, he is stuck by the love he felt and nothing can get him over it. This is also about denial of one's own feelings. He also couldn't get over it because he couldn't allow himself to process what happened. So for anyone getting over a broken heart, it's all about letting go and trying again, process the emotions by letting out anger, frustration and tears and bit by bit we can love again.

This was brilliant. I'm so impressed. Brokeback Mountain has been one of my favorites- I read it first- but the movie did it justice. I'm glad someone else saw the huge- ness of the issue it described.

The movie is also about how same-sex love is kept secret, that's why the longing is so powerful.

This movie is so relatable to me. Frankly, I have to confess I have Ennis Del Mar Sindrom... I have my very painful past and I still cant get over it.

Excellent explanation of the torment they both go through neither of them can resolve.

But unfortunately their torment was resolved in a tragic way with Jack's death and Ennis still grieving over his death and what was their relationship. So I guess Ennis' torment didn't end unless he decided to move on to a new relationship. But we as viewers don't know what happens after the movie ends and knowing Ennis he most likely won't start a new relationship. But who knows?

I let go of the hurt of my life's heartbreak. You just gotta realize they weren't fully right for you, even though there were wonderful times. Appreciate those and realize you'd be miserable if it stayed the way it did towards the end. My guy was bi, but didn't ever admit it to anyone, well, he did one time to me in saying something that was indirect but stated then that we were nearly a romantic couple. That's fine. If he wasn't strong enough to be open, despite all the nights we spent together alone making each other laugh and wrestling and horsing around in the pool, then that's on him - not on me. And that's how I'm free! I think Ennis got his freedom at the end a little bit when he broke down finding his old shirt over Jack's, in Jack's closet. He knew how much Jack loved him, and he used that opposite situation than mine (Jack was willing to be open unlike my former friend) to have continued love in his heart to keep him going. I pray he was happy the rest of his fictional days lol

0:10 Nah it's still a gay movie tho. I get what you're trying to say but this movie was about longing and loss directly because it was gay and the societal risk of pursuing love. The themes can be understand by everyone and applied to different stories but it being a gay movie and being about longing and loss doesn't have to be exclusive.♥️
